No. Against Carolina if they win the Buffalo game.

Or better yet against Pittsburgh if the Chiefs are comfortably in 1st place before that game. That will be their 3rd game in 10 days. Against T.J. Watt and a team we might face in the playoffs. Would be a perfect time to rest Mahomes provided they keep winning before that.

Another game won by the defense. A shank or bad snap is lucky, but a block is a legit effort play by the kick defense. Defense has a great second half to pull out another one for the O.

I just went back and watched that play three times in a row - they absolutely trucked the LT on that to get 3 bodies thru for the block. Cochrane, Chenal and Karlaftis all were in there.

They need to do it at some point and the sooner the better. Maybe against the Panthers but no later IMO.

Only 38 yards rushing from the RB's today. Gotta give Denver credit, but the OL has to perform better than this in both run-blocking and pass-blocking.

Also the playcalling should have adjusted quicker… running into brick walls for minimal gain first downs… not good.

Yep, too many 3rd and Long situations after gaining basically 0 yards on 1st and 2nd down. Hopefully they can find a way to play better next week. They'll need it. I don't think 16 points is enough to defeat Buffalo.

Last time they scored the same number of points in consecutive weeks was in the 2021 playoffs, so we're probably safe there.

I was glancing at the schedule and thought, shit I wonder when I mentioned scoring the same number of points in consecutive games and if I actually nailed it on the head.

But this thread was post-Broncos/pre-Bills and the Chiefs accomplished it weeks 13 and 14, winning by the exact same score of 19-17.

Oh well, carry on.

So watching the replay - the first sack on Mahomes was just a stunt from the inside DL to run around RT and Smith had no chance to catch him.

Hunt had 7 receptions today and that doubled the number of receptions on the season... didn't realize it was that many until looking it up. Figured that would come around at some point and would much rather see him used in that capacity than running it up the center's ass on 2nd and 10.

Perine also had big plays in the passing game. The backfield contributed in that department for sure.

Our WRs outside of Hopkins continue to just not be good. I don’t want to run kelce and dhop completely into the ground. We need juju for some quick hitters. And we need Hollywood to open things up because worthy right now looks like he needs to fall back into more of an Mvs decoy role.

We just need to hang in there until these guys get healthy.

Of course a lot of that depends on our OL staying healthy because our depth is frightening.

I'll be honest, I was frustrated at how many times DHop wasn't on the field on 3rd down. And how many times he wasn't even looked at when he was. It felt like he was being used as a decoy so Pat could try and get one into Worthy or Watson or whoever. And the lack of targets in the EZ was infuriating.

But we won, so I guess that's all that matters. Offensive efficiency be damned, I guess.
