Its time to work DTV, and then maybe they can get a Hurricane contingency built into their fuggin contract, the dicks. Swear to God, they wouldn't broadcast a Saints game to a dude in Sacramento, even though he had to relocate their cause his home is flooded. Fugen heartless bastards the NFL is, bend over and take it you fan.

That's horseshit though. If they would just let the local affiliates broadcast it who aren't otherwise broadcasting a highschool or college football game then they would be all right.

Blackout in FL too?

Will this game be broadcast ANYWHERE? I thought the NFL loved these storms so they could get more $ for extra games.

Here's a question...

How many of you were getting the game on Sunday (outside of Direct TV folks)? This is a potential disaster of major proportions here and you guys are crying about the NFL and the networks breaking one off in you.

Do you really think the NFL wants to pass up on the chance to get additional advertising revenues?

Eh... I can understand. While I'd like to think I'd handle it much more graciously than these fellas are, it's hard to keep things in perspective when you're talking about a large group of people who discuss football every day of the year.

If this, the biggest hurricane in recorded history does the damage that Katrina did, I suspect there will be just as many caring Chiefs fans as any other fan base. That said, missing a football game is nothing compared to missing your home.

That's why I don't live in Florida. Also a reason why I didn't live in a trailor in Kansas (tornados).
What puzzles me is why didn't they just go to Kansas City and play on Sunday? Isn't that a better scenario all the way around? Seau and Jason Taylor up to speed for the fins. Chiefs could have more than 2 days practice. But no put everybody in a risky environment, one day away from a major hurricane because the Dolphins want to play at home.
Stupid assclowns!!!

a superseding 1966 law withdrew immunity for any professional football game telecast on Friday night or Saturday if any high school or college football game was being played within 75 miles of the broadcast station that same day.
So the DirecTV satellite that roadcasts Sunday Ticket games is less than 75 miles up?

The anti-trust law states the NFL can't be doing that Saturday stuff until after Thanksgiving...

I doubt that any high schools in the regions of the teams would be filing an antitrust action. Neither should the DOJ.

And any claimed damages trebled would not amount to much money, probably less revenue than the regional stations would make.

They should go ahead and broadcast the game regionally.
