Saunders has had a good run. It's unfortunate Vermeil and the front office couldn't give him a respectable defense. If they are willing to make him head coach, and give him total freedom to run the Defense with coaches and players of his choosing, then he ought to be given another chance. Otherwise, if I were him, regardless of the offer extended by Peterson, I'd be on the first plane to Detroit.
