What I love about the DT's are that they are high motor guys. And they don't have some bad injury history as far as I know. To me, that already makes them better picks than Siavii and Freeman and Sims. Sims' big problem is that he has no motor.
I love drafting Bowe, because I've been banging on the drum of first round WR for years now. About time we got one... |

This isn't the Vermiel offense anymore. We addressed the running part of the offense by signing two tackles in the off season. (Yeah one of them has problems with impulse control and women.) That means that running the ball will be better, not so much a home run game like 2003 but better average than last year. But to go along with that you need to have good ball fakes and a big reciever to compliment TG in catching the tough yards and in blocking. You have Parker and Kennison for speed. Therefore I think Bowe is fits better than some of the other WR on the board.
Having addressed the offense, it will never be like the Vermeil era, the defensive need was along the D-line. And you have to take numbers. In the Cover-2 you rotate the D-line often and everybody is suppose to shift were they are playing to make the offensive line uneasy in their prep. The two selections are active and work this way. I don't know if they will work out but they are the type of player you want on an active front four. Speed is more important than size especially if you are rotating players in and out. I suspect we will keep 9 D-lineman. I'm guardedly happy with the picks. I'll save my rants about it all after we have signed the rookies and we see play.
