But where?

We could have gotten guys that would start on Day One at WR, OT, and DE.

Instead we opt for a CB and an interior lineman that most believe will excel at OT, but nobody's sure. If all we get out of that pick is a great interior lineman, we could have got that much later.

I'm really really surprised that you didn't like this draft. What more could we have done?

Honestly, I didn't like throwing picks for Albert. The trade in the 3rd, the 5th we sacrificed, we really needed for what are now turning out to be gargantuan holes in our pass rushing and offensive line.

I would have waited to #17 and taken Otah.

As far as our #35, I really like Flowers on the field, but we just traded a guy away because of drug abuse, and here we are drafting a guy who poses to be a drug dealer on Facebook, during Draft season.

We can find good Cover 2 corners later in the Draft, a 2nd was unnecessary. Especially when Groves and Hardy were still on the board.

WTF? It was a 5th rounder. We still had a 5th. Albert is a stud.
Day 1 is an A+. You're being ridiculous.

Ironically, often you can Draft a stud guard in the fifth.

He would not have been there at 17. Philly was trading up to 16 had we not jumped.

Direckshun, I really like you and respect your opinion, but you should at least show up to defend your opinion. People have brought up good points in this thread. It was a solid day. C+ is way too harsh...

Ah. Yes.

I will show up to defend my opinion. Ask anyone here, I don't plant and run -- most people say I stick around too long to make a point.

I was just out and about last night at a Draft party and Royals game. So if there's any impression that I'm scared of dissent, forget it.

If anything, this is going to make the lead up to the 2009 NFL Draft very fun, as I'll be reminded about 2,000 times how wrong I've been this year.

I feel a lot better about you and I disagreeing about most everything in the mock draft thread. Our day is an A at worst and most likely an A+.

You can't criticize us in terms of value or talent -- we ended up with three of the most talented players from this weekend altogether. Dorsey was a brilliant pick, and probably the best possible option we could have had.

But Albert is completely unproven at tackle. Guard is an awful position to Draft nonetheless. Giving up two picks for him seemed like a disasterous decision. Flowers is incredibly talented but he's got so many character concerns my brain is exploding.

Here's hoping we continue drafting talented players. But here's hoping we avoid some of the sloppy decisioin making from an absolutely zany day one.

R U OK? "sloppy decision making?" ....... FYI Probably the BEST day 1 draft in recent memory. Hate to be graded on your teaching scale.

First day I give an A. Second day so far, an F-. No DE, OT, WR, CB taken in rd3? That's just beyond stupid.
