If Darling were worth a shit he'd still be in Baltimore. There are at least 2 guys like him on every roster in the NFL. Tall guys that can run. Whoopee. Hell, there are 3 or 4 of them on this roster alone. Excitement destorys receivers. They get in the game and get too excited and that destroys their hands, their moves, and their confidence. Sammy Parker was the posterboy for that. There are VERY few guys who can get in an NFL game and just go out and catch the f'in ball like it's no big deal. That has been the main problem for receivers 2 thru 5 on this roster for years and is 1 problem Sippio doesn't have.

He's only like 6 foot, and he's more than just speed. He's tough and has shown good hands.

Darling > Sippio

Forever and ever. Amen.

Actually they wanted and tried to keep him, but there was nothing they could do because he was a free agent. He knew he was good enough to be a starter, and thats why he left. He didn't play as much as Webb or Parker did last year, but when he got his chance he broke out and put up much better numbers than our WR's outside Bowe. Oh and hes also showing hes better than our other WR's in practice. He wasn't wasn't on the field very long in his one pre season game here.

Loser? I lost my bet and paid up, because I'm a man. Until you can do that you will remain a giant vagina.

Heh, you were a loser in the sense you lost the bet. That's all.

By the way, I've paid up on every bet I've ever made on Chiefsplanet.

Don't suppose you saved the image...

Even SIPPIO!!! needs playing time. According to the rules, you can't win a game if you're not in the game.

That's OK. They're wrong.

Just to piss off Sippio lovers I won't record any of his highlights this year.

Claythan... you should realize that Bobby Sippio's success = a happy D. Bowe.

I've been rootin' for Sippio, just because I thought we needed a slant receiver to go over the middle and make some rough catches (whatever idiots think Dante Hall makes a good slant receiver can suck my balls, the key skills are toughness and hanging on to the ball, not speed). With the new Chan offense and a 2 TE set (OMG Cottam FTW), we really don't need a guy like Sippio. We also don't need Darling. Bowe, Frankling, Gonzales, Cottam, and whatever other scrub they want are all we need as far as receiving threats go.

The fact that Devard Darling is a starter....

This is what the Chiefs have, they have Dwayne Bowe and then a bunch of other guys and that's pretty much all they are.

And I've had enough Bobby Sippio and Jeff Webb to, when both those guys are gone it won't be to soon.

I can agree with that, although I'm hoping that Franklin can be a major factor. I just don't see a lot of upside with Darling, beyond the typical mediocre FA we tend to attract.

(I'm through the 1st quarter of the Bears/Chiefs game, and pretty impressed with his size speed so far. I won't say anything about that catch on the first drive hitting the ground if you won't.)

Huh?

He's all upside. The Chiefs are hoping he's our Joe Horn.
