It's sad that he can get 2/3 of the YPC he is getting just by jumping into the pile.

We have a GM who is happy that the Chiefs played it close, as opposed to actually winning the game when they had 4 shots to get it in the endzone from the 5. I guess Herm was a good choice for Carl after all.

As for Bowe, he was always known at LSU as being a very good receiver who would occassionally drop some easy balls. Some people bought into the excuse that the drops stopped after he received some corrective eye surgery, but it didn't really. Bowe was never known for having great hands.

I guess my take on it is that King Carl is a douchenozzle. Whitlock didn't really uncover anything substantial there.

As far as Bowe goes, the cat is in his second year. He's going to make second year player mistakes. The important part is that he privately recognizes and rectifies them. Whether he does it in public really has no effect on me.

I would urge you people to take patience with the young people on this team. They are going to miss blocks, drop passes, blow coverages, not get off blocks, etc. We can't throw them under the bus every time a rookie makes a rookie mistake.

Kansas City’s offense, on the other hand, was foiled by the exact same shortcomings that have haunted the Chiefs for 20 years
The same "Keep it close and steal it late" philosophy of Marty.

The same "We need a game manager, not a playmaker" QB philosophy.

This is going to be a Paul Wiggin like year.

Whitlock complains that the pork chop at the restaurant doesn't smell fresh enough, while he sits in the pants he shit in all day.

I'm just thrilled Jason made it through an entire game in Foxboro without a looming suspension. Congratulations on that, Jason. Well done.

Actually, he has already.

In his NFL Truths column for FoxSports:

2. The Ball State Cardinals are going to run the table and make a bid to crash the BCS bowl party. I (spit) you not.

The Cardinals are loaded. In Nate Davis, they have quite possibly the quarterback with the most pro potential in the college game. Davis' favorite target is Wes Welker clone, Dante Love. The Cards have a 6-foot-6 tight end, Darius Hill, who can't be stopped in the red zone. Their right tackle, Robert Brewster, is one of the nation's best run blockers. Ball State punter, Chris Miller, is a two-time Playboy All-American.

Ball State is this year's Boise State.
