It should just become legal everywhere and on federal level too, already. This is the 21st century, FFS. It's so innocent and beneficial to the human condition, I don't understand why people still hate on it or see it as something bad or evil.

It pretty much makes you a better person in every aspect except maybe motor skills (depending on what you smoke, lol).

everyone knows, as soon as you smoke it, you're women will be lured/attracted to black men; and soon thereafter you'll be hooked on heroin and/or crack.

Not so strict in NoCal. MDs have billboards on the highway advertising herb permits for $75. Any ol' excuse will do - one customer told the doc that high heels hurt her feet & got a permit.

Oh, no. It's easy to get the permits down here too. Getting the bud however, is not. They don't advertise. Only a few do. most get around by word of mouth. It's not like they have big signs saying, "hey come buy weed here" And i can't really imagine anyone robbing one. At least not the one's that i've been too.

They are really, really secured. They even have cameras outside the buildings. And they do there best to stay on the DL. Probably more so to avoid the Feds than anything else.

I guess it's legal here in California too. A block form my house this place that used to be a record shop reopened as GRACE. Nice modern sign, Ipe wood slat frontage design. We thought it was a new restaurant. My wife suggested we go try it out. I walked by the other day and checked inside. It's a medical marijuana distribution center. Damn upscale! Way more than the old welfare office-looking one about a mile away.

with the Chemo, hubby has offered to buy thinking it would help but we live in Kansas, I said absolutely NOT. Both of us have awesome jobs that would not be understanding if we popped positive. Besides, I never really got into it. The one time I tried it, I burned my bangs. Seems as I wasn't holding the "bowl" right. That was 25 years ago...have no desire.

Lol. That's hilarious.

It's not for everyone, same way drinking isn't for everyone. Personally, aside from a few beers during the game, i hate drinking. Im usually the designated driver.

I have no idea how a company provides false documents that they're a "medical marijuana" provider, or how a person obtains false documents to "prove" they have a need for "medical marijuana", but it's obvious to everybody in the city that it's a joke. We now have storefronts opening up to sell "medical marijuana", and other than the name they're not even trying to cover up what they're doing. (And yeah, yeah, whatever. If there's a need for medical marijuana that's legitimate, fine. But if there's a real need, its cause is being negatively impacted by all the fraud that's going on in Denver right now.)

So anyway, I've lived here for 16 years. In the first 15 years of living here, I was asked only once if I wanted to buy drugs. Some scary dude asked me once if I "wanted to buy" as I was walking home. Probably not marijuana.

In the last six to eight months, I've been asked three times if I wanted to buy marijuana, twice on my walk home and once when I was out shopping. The people offering me this stuff are skanky, nasty people that I do not want to talk to, much less buy stuff from. I don't want to encounter these people, deal with these people, talk to these people, or quite frankly, even see these people, much less ingest illegal stuff into my body that they're selling.

It's frustrating that these people are getting so emboldened that they're trying to sell this stuff to strangers on the street. And I'm not a guy who fits the profile, either - in fact, I probably look much more like an undercover cop than a buyer of recreational drugs. So if they're walking up trying to sell this stuff to me as I'm walking to work, they're walking up to everyone.

I really hate where this is heading. Denver is a nice city otherwise.
Sounds like some dirtbags are recognizing an opportunity, but haven't quite caught on to the concept of marketing yet. They're in spammer mode, asking anyone who will listen. They must be having some amount of success though, or they wouldn't be bothering with it at all. I'd bring a drug dog in to check DaFace's stuff.

They didn't even ask to see my permit to buy medical marijuana.

There are like a thousand of those shops here in LA now, and the city is getting together to do something about the number, but I don't know how they can decide who is and who isn't legitimate, other than by accepting bribes, so I don't think I'm for city regulation of it either.

I wonder if the aggressiveness you are seeing is because the street dealers are getting frozen out which can only be a good thing in the future.....maybe? As you can see, I'm not convinced, but I know prohibition doesn't work so I'm willing to see new ideas tried.
