If Shields, Roaf, and Priest would come back I'd be on board with a reunion.

The Vikes bent over backwards to land T-Rich. They really gave him the red carpet treatment and offered a lot more dollars than the Chiefs were willing to offer. (I remember a story about how the Vikes even set up care for T-Rich's dog.) It made sense for the Chiefs considering that the offense of the day had little use for a FB. Of course, the Vikes dumped him a year later for someone younger and cheaper.

Hell, why not put Len Dawson back out on the field while we're at it? Cassel lovers? Ha!

I think the Chiefs are fine w/o T-Rich, but signing him does seem to have a nice symmetry.

Although, at Lenny's fragile age, I bet with enough protection, he could throw a ball to a receiver on the money over 6 yards......

Not to mention reading defenses and inspiring teammates. Look how juiced the Viking players & coaches are for Brett "The Gray Fox" Farve. Imagine the team spirit for Lenny "The Cool & Dangling Testicles" Dawson.

Dude. Bring him back! He blocked for Jones last year, and Charles could literally average 7 YPC running behind T-Rich. It sounds crazy, but I mean, he racked up 5.9 running behind Cox. Think about what he could do behind a legit FB. T-Rich still has at least 1 more year left.

Building a culture of character guys is nice, but you need talent. The difference, in this case, is that TRich is still a much more talented player than Cox or Castille.

I don't see the downside to signing him.

It's a win-win. We sign him for a low price. Cut Cox. T-Rich finishes his career in KC, and helps lead our rushing offense into the top 3 by the end of the season.

The signing of him seems like such a Pioli move, that I'm surprised it's not already been done.

I'll be surprised if they do sign him. The Chiefs, exhausting all other attempts at their offense, have found they can run the ball decently. Adding T-Rich would not only allow them to run more effeciently, but would add another locker room leader as well.

As you correctly stated, it's a win-win. Keep one of the FB's to develop and learn behind a true player as T-Rich....I can only imagine T-Rich blocking for Jones between the tackles, and then have him block outside for Charles....
