It's just that most spread teams use some conventional sets in their game plans. It's very frustrating when Mizzou lines the QB up in the shotgun on 4th and goal from inside the one.

But I do agree to an extent, I wish we'd run what OU runs. Which is like what Hamas said, under center, shotgun, w/ a fullback, TEs on the line, etc....I mean why the hell not? It worked great when Chase was here, but I think it's time to do what OU does.

I'm completely with you. We need a power I package and an ace set, IMO. We have a bend but don't break them offense.

Even in '07 and '08 there were some goddamned frustrating moments.

We lost the Oklahoma State game because we didn't have a G2G package and kicked a FG from the 1.

Will there be a way to watch MU on tv at some point? I think the Big 12 is a good conference but it's kinda stupid that a state the size of Missouri doesn't have any tv cameras at the game. Shit man, it's week 4...

Right or wrong, Pinkel has decided that the amount of practice time it takes to work on those sets for 1 or 2 plays a game isn't worth it. It's frustrating to watch, but it means more reps for the other 60 plays a game. We've been successful on short yardage plays, anyway. It just seems more glaring when we fail to get a yard out of the shotgun than when teams fail to get a yard running up the middle out of the I.

I can't remember the last time MU played someone that was worth a shit in their non conf schedule. And Illinois isn't worth a shit. They're terrible.

It'll be interesting if MU can keep on winning once conf play starts. I don't see them beating Nebraska, if they can though, they should be the front runners to win the north. They may have trouble w/ KSU as well.

If I'm Kansas fan, I'm not seeking out threads about other football teams to troll. They are a patsy. If an SEC team scheduled them in the non-con, the other SEC schools would discount the win because it was against a shitty opponent.
