Other Sports 7th Grader dunking the ball - Page 2

I played a team in the regional AAU tournament out of Whichita that had two players that could dunk in 6th grade. One tried to dunk during the game, but missed. This was about 20 years ago.

I could dunk a basketball in 8th grade. I was about 6'1 then. By the time I was a senior, I could dunk really easy and actually won an area dunk contest.

14 and 6'1 was the first time I dunked (in practice) on the short hop. It's a hell of a lot easier then throwing down with control all the way up.

In the next 3 years my length increased but my vertical didn't.

I got dunked on by a 6th grader when I played little league basketball. It was an alley-opp. I just stood there in awe for a few seconds. That kid was crazy talented. Back then his parents had him in 4-5 different leagues around the city so his Saturday's were just one game after another. I think it worked out for him because he went on to play in the NBA for 13 years.
