I don't see the problem with just putting it up there. Maybe take DC off the subforum list and have it stand on its own. Those of us that post there know where it is anyway.

Too different.

How about we merge D.C. and the Lounge?

Put prefixes and we are good to go!!

Very shitty idea. Mods must have been too hangover from new year.

I'd attach a pen to my dick, wiggle my dick over a piece of paper and come up with a better solution.

**** this shit.

I'd say whatever works.

As long as there's a forum that allows draft discussions to not compete with everyday CP activity, I think it's fine.

Again what is the problem with leaving it up year around? Other than the summer months, the draft can really be talked about all year - especially during college season.

Threads like this crack me up. If there's one thing the mods around here have repeatedly shown they don't give a shit about (especially DaFace), it's the will of the people. I assume they'll solicit opinions, figure out what the majority wants, and do the exact opposite.

ChiefsPlanet! Built on every American principle EXCEPT democracy!

And FWIW, I don't give a shit one way or another.

So, what you're saying is, you would like to see DC merged with the Lounge, the KU Repository threads stickied, and the DOTY given mod privs for 2012.

If you insist...

You really feel this way? I couldn't disagree more. The colors, the logo, the header, policies, the site name - names for forums, all of these things have been contributed by the general population. Really don't understand why anybody would think differently. Now its clear that the solution the mods suggested isn't popular with the regulars who have added their opinion so we're backing off of it and trying to give you something you'll like better.

I've never understood why the draft forum isn't on all the time. (stickied 24/7/365)

There should be a FF forum also. (in-season stickied)

My vote would be to keep them seperate. They feel like very different topics to me. Once is mainstream, albiet very focused, football discussion and the other is fantasy football.

When someone posts a "What do you think about this draft?" thread without the proper tag, noone will know if it is a fantasy draft or a suggested Chief's draft.

Yeah, I get that they generally have different seasons, but my vote is to keep them and good and seperate. A little space used up at the top when you first come into the site doesn't seem like a good enough reason to combine them.

Is the fear that newbies will wander in and think the site only has four posts in the last month by accidently falling into a subforum?

I didn't even know what the default settings were. I have the DC forum hidden, but didn't really know what view the guests get.

SO I logged out and see that by default, the draft forum is hidden but the DC forum is not? What kind of ****ed up logic is that?

Now that I've had time to think about this, I think that the draft and FF/Gambling forums should remain separate. The default view for anyone should be Media Center, Draft Forum and FF/Gambling, with the latter turned off during the offseason.
