What's Scott Pioli's W-L record?
Is it time for a pay cut?

What's next? Are we going to lowball Dustin Colquitt because he has a terrible W/L record as this team's punter?

Nothing else dramatically jumped like his TD's in 2010. He caught his 3rd most receptions in a year. He had 3 more yards receiving than he did this year but he more than doubled his previous best TD year. Is it a coincidence that we just happened to have a non goal line RB having a damn near historic year that year? |

You brought up that it needs to be considered Bowe has a crappy QB throwing him the ball, I'm saying does it work both ways. You hate the Chiefs FO, I get that, so any chance you get you'll take the side that is against them fine. In this case its' Bowe v. Pioli. |

He needs a new contract next offseason. You just watch.
"Dustin, being with the Chiefs is about results, and you don't have results. We're going to pay you like an average middle-of-the-road punter in spite of your years of quality play for the franchise over the years and your long shelf life due to the position you play" |

And if you say, "One way he could get better TD numbers is to stop dropping them" I will become very cross |

I would think by looking at his 2010 numbers that Cassel can get him the ball in the end zone. It's the yards getting there thats the problem.

Bowe gets to use the SHIT QB as an excuse, but Pioli can't use that or the injury of 3 INCREDIBLY important starters for the entire season. Yes I realize Pioli traded for Cassel, that is his one and only major mistake as GM. I have believed since the beginning though, that Cassel is a stop gap until we find something better. Doesn't it seem as though Pioli is building up the roster to insert a green QB into a best case scenario? Worked pretty well for Sanchez. Pioli doesn't get any slack for the 2009 draft, which was scouted by someone else's staff for a completely different system. Even though he's nailed the draft ever since. Building one of the best top to bottom rosters in the league save the QB. No slack for the QB, even though he's really had no other options(none better anyway) available to him. Outside of Manning, who doesn't want to play for the guys who used to cheat against him. No slack on his record as GM, even though injuries alone cost us more than enough games to get us into the playoffs last year. Or, that his first year here, he took over a 2-14 roster, which was destined to fail his first year as GM. Now, b/c he won't pay your favorite player 100 million dollars, he's a big meanie. |
