Single digits. And yes, the wind chill is a huge factor. I live in Minneapolis, but I'm a transplant from Indiana. The lifers here can be pretty hardcore about winter. It makes a big difference though if you dress for the weather which I didn't always do before I moved here.

You have crazy looking people with B.O. wandering around downtown from what I saw.

Nice place though.

55 or below is very cold for me. That's pretty much the coldest it ever gets in Sydney. Wind does make a difference though. If there's no wind but its cold I dont mind nearly as much.

This is why I've always wanted to move to Sydney, (or at the least take a vacation there). It doesn't get too cold, plus there's the Sydney Opera House, (I've always wanted to see that in person).

50 is still a bit too cold for me though. Hell, anything below 65... GAH!!

How is downtown San Diego? Last time I was there it closed up shop at about 10 PM every night. For fun we messed with the hookers/pimps, drug dealers and other assorted street people.

They completely renovated downtown SD, its really popular, but its not my scene. Give me a dive bar with a bunch of shit-kicking regulars and I'm happy.

Hah, there were a few of those. Kind of sad to think that the old Roaring 20's strip club is surely gone then.

The last time I was in San Diego I was walking around in my orange Broncos gear, interacting with the locals. I've got some old home movies that my Navy buddy took of it. I posted them on YouTube. Here's one:

I was only there for one day. Flew in around 11. Took a bus out to some neighborhood near the ocean. I think it was a college area. Drank at a bar there. Went and slept on a bench in that old Mexican town area. Then went to the Gaslamp area and had a few more drinks. Then went to some little bar called the Live Wire on El Cajon and had a few more.
It's a fun town.

Anything below 0 is too damn cold.

Apart from that, though, it's just a matter of adjusting. It took me a couple days to get used to daily highs of single digits, but now they're no big deal.

The best is when you get several days of -10 and below. Then you get a heat wave of single digits above 0. It feels like a goddamn bathhouse outside, and you feel invincible, like you don't even need your coat.

Of course, then it warms back up in the summer, in which people turn back into pussies when it's 50 degrees in the morning during the summer.
