Though this draft doesnt have a "superstar" it looks like it has a lot of potential contributors. id like to see us trade back a few times in the first round instead of just taking a ****ing tackle. This is yet another reason idont think Albert is traded, but kept this year as the franchise level.

From the latest big board I saw Kiper didn't even have Geno in his top 25, he has Joeckel top 5 but he has Fisher above him. CBS big board has Joeckel #1 and Geno #9. WalterFootball has Joeckel #1, Geno #30. Sports Illustrated has Joeckel #1, Geno # 24, they bumped him up 2 spots after his pro day. The point is to anyone saying they have flexibility for BPA at #1 is that Geno is not BPA according to almost everyone. If he was no way they give up a 2nd rounder for Alex Smith when they could have signed one of a number of available vets for cheap if they wanted to develop Geno behind someone else.

Yes, they will have to spend 1 to replace him. But I'm thinking more and more everyday THIS has been part of the grand plan all along. Just as was the acquisition of Alex Smith discussed in Philly that day.

Now i'm not saying that we can't do BOTH, but they seem to kind of cancel each other out. |

Pick up two tackles in free agency so we can be completely flexible with the #1 pick.

Im guessing the only thing left they have to get in free agency is ILB.

If Albert doesn't want to be a team player, he can take a hike.

I would hope that he takes a hike to your house and blocks your ass with a shit encrusted toilet brush.

One of the bigger reasons I want to keep Albert, is that he's pretty much the leader up front at this point. A rookie LT would be fine if we had a pretty established group up there to start, but we don't.
