After the late 90's, I just can't even pretend to get excited about drafting a Tackle, heck, after recent years I can't even get excited by DT. I doubt I'll even watch the first round coverage if we know we are drafting an OT. Couldn't be a more boring pick.

Fisher is my fav LT. His upside is tremendous but he is already a pretty polished player.

Patterson needs to go to Pittsburgh w/ the improv act of Ben Roethlisberger, where actual route running is less important. Wait til Miami gets a close look at how undisciplined Mike Wallace has become, it'll be glorious!!

A lot more mocks have us drafting Fisher now. Even Mayock has him as host top LT now. I'd be happy with Fisher over Joeckel any day! RT OF THE FUTURE

You mean you goons don't want Winston's replacement with the number one overall pick that this organization hasn't had since 1963? ****

The earlier comparison between Alt and Fisher was spot on correct. I was in Arrowhead the day John Alt arrived after being drafted. Dude filled the doorway, but was thin. He was not NFL ready on the first day, but the Chiefs S&C staff got him there. We all know what he turned into and he was a DAMN good LOT for years.
Honestly, I like Fisher much better than Joeckle. |

CBS Sports' Jason La Canfora is "hearing" the Chiefs will likely select Central Michigan LT Eric Fisher with the No. 1 pick if they can't deal disgruntled LT Branden Albert before the draft.
The reasoning is vague, but the Chiefs apparently believe Fisher would be better suited to the "power game" at right tackle than Texas A&M's Luke Joeckel if they kept Albert on the blindside. La Canfora had previously been adamant that Joeckel would be the Chiefs' pick. Unusual for a team picking No. 1 overall, the Chiefs have yet to be overwhelmingly connected to one player. There's still plenty of time for Albert to be traded before Thursday evening. Related: Chiefs Source: Jason La Canfora on Twitter Apr 24 - 12:11 AM
