Chiefs 2007 Schedule Released

Chiefs open, close season with road games
By ADAM TEICHER
The Kansas City Star
The Chiefs will begin and finish the season with a pair of road games, according to the schedule released by the NFL today.

The Chiefs will open with games at Houston on Sept. 9 and at defending NFC champion Chicago on Sept. 16.

The home opener is Sept. 23 against Minnesota.

The Chiefs will play six of eight games at Arrowhead Stadium during one mid-season stretch. They are scheduled for no national television appearances other than their season finale on Dec. 30 against the Jets in New York.

The game is tentatively scheduled to begin at 7:15 p.m. and be televised by NBC. The network has the option of showing a different game in that window, meaning the Chiefs-Jets game would switch to an afternoon time slot.

Honestly, it's because Denver is a sexy team for ratings and the Chiefs aren't, really.

It's a right they deserve, so I don't complain too much about it.

Between us and them, they've had the more serious chances at the Super Bowl in the 2000s. And now they have a more dynamic offense with a young stud QB. That's usually going to fare better than something like the Chiefs' bland offense and a defense that still has to prove itself to be a force.

I have enough to be concerned about regarding KC's chances and how their season turns out without wasting time bitching about more people seeing the Chiefs and liking the Chiefs. Chances are I'd just call them bandwagoners when it happens...

Tell you what. Give Denver the five primetime games. When they come to KC and get their asses handed to them, I'll feel pretty good about my team.

Yep. Happens every year, a projected stud is a dog and vice versa.

I may be able to score some really good seats for this, too. No promises, though.

Yeah, look at the Pittsburgh game last year. Defending SB Champs playing at home. That game looked impossible. Turned out Pittsburgh had a down year. So a game that looked impossible in the preseason, all the sudden looked very winnable. But it wasn't. It was impossible. So it just goes to show you, they are who we think they are.

Oh, you are talking about this year? I was unclear of that, sorry. when you said you would be at every game and I asked if you would be "in character" (you are always a character - ) It was because I was trying to remember if this was you or if I had it wrong......

You have been dumbed down from wearing that Cubs shirt. No one to blame but yourself.

Start with 2 on the road. End with 2 on the road. WTF is up with that?

I don't like the 2 on the road to start the season, but the two on the road at the end don't bother me, because if we are going to make the playoffs, we need to win all of our home games, and steal 2 on the road. I think its a possibility.

I'll be at the Opener!!!
