Actually Simplex, thinking about this feature, I wonder if the trolls who will be ignored won't just change usernames so they can do their attention-whoring again. I think this might work for a while, but maybe it would flood us with usernames too. I don't know if that's a problem for the programming, but if people started doing that, then it might make using the site more confusing. But maybe that wouldn't happen.

As far as the liberal/conservative list, I hope that doesn't detract from the traffic over there. I guess I think ignoring the views of people on the other side of the political spectrum from you is a big problem with the state of our country right now in general.

Banyon no iggy is going to be perfect, this is a huge improvement, it is a slight pain to reregister so I have my doubts we will see a lot of that.

I am pretty sure Simplex would never create the classification iggies if it could even be done.

Don't get me wrong, if this feature prevents dogpiling and all the high schoolish popular/loser mantras, then I say bravo....the real test will be to see if people can actually not talk about those they choose to eliminate through what appears to be censorship.
Stevie, censorship is when I decide you don't get to read something. Censorship is not when you decide to not read something.

I certainly could be done, but it certainly won't be done by me. I'm not going to start pigeon-holing people. It's not my problem.

Right now I'm working on a new config window and an alert system so that CPIggy can tell you when a new version comes out. Since the auto-upgrade will be "phoning home" so to speak I want it to be disabled by default. Applications shouldn't make Internet requests without the user's knowledge.

No I think it's great for a lot of people. I'm just explaining why I probably wont utilize it.

Is there a way to make the edit window in Mozilla work like the one in IE where if you run the cursor over a word and select say bold the word will be bolded? The edit window is the only thing I don't like about Mozilla.

There are controls that do that. That's something that would be MUCH easier done on by the technology team on the server side. To do that through a Greasemonkey script would be tough. I'll look around and see if I can find anything, though.

Thats not necessary, I thought maybe I had just not found a simple setting. I am suprised Mozilla is so archaic in this regard.

you can rationalize away however you want...but you haven't decided not to read it, you've eliminated it.

besides, I'm not going to get into a semantics argument over one word that wasn't even the main point of my post.

It's actually a problem with the ancient version of vBulletin we're running - not Firefox. vBulletin looks, sees that you're not using Internet Explorer, and assumes you're using some weird browser that couldn't handle "advanced" code like the edit box. So, it kicks out the really basic editor to make sure that you can respond.

If you ever go to a board on a newer version of vBulletin, the WYSIWYG editor is there.

The reason my ‘user script commands’ was grayed out yesterday was because the ‘included web pages’ in the ‘manage user scripts’ had ‘www’ in the url and for whatever reason the link my favorites did not contain the ‘www’ so it wasn't recognized as an included web page within the script.

Might save you some troubleshooting. Nice Java'n btw.

Ah, didn't realize CP would respond without the www. I'll modify the next version to handle both by default.
