Scroll down to 2007. Brodie was even asked about it, and he replied with..."When asked if that was a problem, he said "It's not the size the of the dog in the fight, it's the size of the fight in the dog."

Come on stat guy, why don't you go back through the last 10 drafts, count the QB's taken after the first round, and determine what the success rate if for those players.

Croyle doesn't even weigh 200 lbs...dude is going to be broken in half playing behind this line. Backfoot Panic Heave has a good arm...but what else? NOTHING
Croyle doesn't have ideal size, but at 6-2 and 206, size won't keep him from making it.

But I don't think a Huard supporter is in much of a position to insist that a QB bring something to the table to be able to get the starting nod. Huard brings the ability to make one quick read and then throw a check down if it's not open.

He doesn't have a good arm.

He has a very slow release.

He doesn't see the whole field well (batted passes, missing open recievers).

He is average in protecting the ball when you consider INTs and fumbles over the last two seasons.

He's not very mobile.

He is ranked 24th in passer rating. On football outsiders, which considers both passing and running as well as opponent strength and situational performance, he's ranked 27th. And you are happy with that. GOOD FAN

He just happens to have a veteran edge over Croyle in the minds of the coaches and King Carl. King Carl isn't the kind of GM to start a young unproven QB that is why Croyle is not the starter today.

Again Croyle had Sviitec to block for him in the Saints game and Sviitec failed to block in that game so Croyle and the rest of the offense looked like shit. IMO that was not a fair chance for Croyle to prove himself to be a starter. If Croyle had D Macintosh then he would have had a chance to look good in preseason.

This year is yet another year that King Carl has a Reject QB that no other team has showed any interest for being a starting QB for their club. We are suppose to enjoy watching a mediocre QB / when we could have a young QB that is going to produce TDs with D Bowe for a long time. I would prefer the young QB that gives us a chance to build for a championship in the near future. Huard gives us nothing of a chance to build us a championship this year, or next year, or the year after that, or the year after that, or the year after that, or the year after that.

I googled "Brodie Croyle" and 178 and didn't find any other links to that. People on this board comb every inch of Chiefs news and we would have had a 2000 post thread on a 178-lb Brodie Croyle. Wikipedia is great and everything, but it's reliability is known to be quesitonable.

Traning camp photos of Brodie, Trent and Huard together showed three guys all about the same size, with Huard having slightly more meat on his bones than the other two.

I lost that much just from watching Croyle's wife's scenes in Hard Knocks over and over and over and over and over and over again.

Perhaps we draft a QB or find a new one via free agency after we witnessed what Brodie was capable of this last preseason. I wouldn't mind seeing Brodie never start for the Chiefs...he'd be a fine #3 QB.
