It feels like they learned something from the Cincy game by just taking the points when they are there and not trying to force anything. With this defense, settling for 3, especially with a kicker like Butker, isn’t such a bad thing. In both of these games, we ended up with WR’s getting open on deep routes which we hadn’t seen much of this year. Although we didn’t capitalize on a couple of them last night, the opportunities were still there when they haven’t been for most of the season.

It would be ****ing hilarious if the Steelers managed to win that game, but glorious beyond words if the Chiefs ended their season again.
I want Buffalo with 2 days less rest than the Chiefs get.

I assume that would be the Sunday game but I’d love to see it next Saturday too.

The offense seems to understand now-

If they can just score more than 20, they've got a real good chance at winning the game.

Like that's it. They don't have to put up 30 points. Just 20.

Punting and giving the other offense the long field is just fine. Field position is important.

Running the ball, not forcing things, playing BORING ****ing football probably wins.

Mahomes just threw it away several times last night when he would've forced things before; but he knows he's got a great defense, and just don't turn the ball over and we're good.

Yeah, they CAN win the SB this way. The Patriots won several in this fashion.

The analytics are based on averages, no?

This defense ain't average.

If KC scores over 20, they win.

4:30 In the vid.

"Is is possible that they could ride the D?"

MJD gives a WTF look and raises an eyebrow.

"I mean, the defense...."

MJD: "Okay...."

Yeah, it's largely what many expected (present company included)... except that we'd see it earlier than this week while not seeing bullshit like the Raiders game so late in the season.

Give Moore, Toney, CEH chances to prove themselves while keeping guys like Rice and Pacheco healthy for the real season... and then narrow down the receiver rotation, Playoff Mahomes enters the chat and is both dialed in and taking more chances running the ball, defense does what it does.

The biggest surprise was Kelce's three drops... thought he'd be another 'flip the switch' guy, but still had 70 yards though.

I noticed some of kelces catches were kinda body catches. I’m gonna chalk a lot of this one up to brutal conditions for catching the ball with your hands.

To me the main quality has always seemed to be having balance on both sides of the ball, and finding a lot of different ways to win. And of course you have to have good QB play these days.

We certainly have not had those things this year, but yeah. If we play like we did yesterday we can make a run. If we clean up the drops and penalties we’ll look like SB winners.

Miami did not look like a great team last night, so hopefully we are still having this talk after next weekend
