You know I'm not trying to be an asshole, but I thought I remembered the old MU vs. KU game thread from January to be much longer and more posted than this one. I guess it's hard for MU fans to post when your team is getting BLOWN OUT by 30+ points. This is always a weird rivalry in terms of how MU handles the games.

At home when MU plays its best bball, can barely hold on to beat Kansas by only a few points with the home court advantage. A win is a win I know, I understand that. But then they come back down to earth and play like the real MU Tigers and lose by 30 at Allen Fieldhouse to 4 starting freshman. I dont get it. Home court advantage shouldnt be a difference of 30pts in a game.

i also like how Gile is playing better and taking Moody's minutes away.

same thing with case and stewart ... starting to take vinson's minutes

let the younger guys learn ... no use in playing walk-on seniors at this point.

It was long because MU fans spent so much time laughing at how much of the old guard didn't post in the least...all you had a was a few Jayhawk newbies squirming around and laughing MU fans.

When the game got switched after halftime, I got distracted by a shiney object and didn't get back to the computer until just a bit ago. I guess it's OK for their fans to be happy with their blowout. 'Course, give them a HC, take away all the distractions over the last week, and had the players actualy felt like they had a reason to play, it may not have been a blowout.

Actually, even a loss to KS may be the best thing for the Tigers. The program is taking a lot of heat right now. The more heat, the closer things will be looked at, and the more apt changes could occur. Currently, the AD's job is quite unstable. And according to news reports coming out of Columbia, the curators aren't too happy with things and are launching their own investigation. Could it be that even Floyd could be in the hot seat now? Things could get interesting and having MU's most hated rival handle our team like this can only help right now.

At this point in the season, at least for a few seasons now, MU didn't have anything to play for. I guess you could say beating KU at home on the last game of the reg season is kinda something to play for, but there's no end result of that matter. I think every player on MU would rather go on to postseason play in the NCAA tourney than rather beat KU at home, and if that statement is wrong, it's really sad.

I don't know, I imagine you've probably been on some sports teams in your life. Probably some good, some bad right? And on those bad teams didn't you still go out every time wanting to win and fighting to do so? If you can't play for pride then somethings wrong. Even without hope for a postseason at this point as a player you should still go out there and play your ass off if for no other reason than you don't want to be embarassed.

It takes something pretty special for me to pull the "classless winner" flag. Its not a team's job to stop themselves from being sucessful.

I didn't see any problems in this case.
