two training camps ago Claythan was SUPER IMPRESSED with Rod Gardner.

Clearly, Claythan has an eye for talent.

Gardner had an outstanding camp. I wasn't the only one saying it.

There was a reason he was so pissed off when he was cut. He had performed very well up to that point.

Just because you weren't there and didn't see Gardner play a down of football that year doesn't mean you know jack shit.

At this point, yes.

If Thigpen actually performs in the fourth quarter of a few games, he might survive.

I agree with pretty much everything Hootie said. If he continues to play well the rest of the season. There is no way he's not the starter for game 1 next year barring injuries.''

everyone already knows he will jump on the bandwagon if there is one to get on. You can deny it all you want, but we already seen how fast he can flip. He is only kidding himself. No one here beleives him anymore.

if this team wasn't so terrible and Herm wasn't the head coach, Thigpen would have played two solid games in a row and led us to 2 wins in a row.

the way Claythan went from Herm's biggest supporter to his supposed biggest detractor in 1 day, you know that he would be all over thigpen's nuts

2 weeks ago, I'd never heard of the guy. My dad was raving about him. This was the 1st game I got to see them play and he looked great. Looks strong, tough, ran the ball well and threw it into tight spots. I give him a thumbs up. The other thumb goes up Herm's ass of course.

THis is the scarry thing about QBs
you never really really know until they're in an actual NFL game
then they need a couple years of testing

This is kinda cliche, but the critics and "experts" on TV always say that they look for young QBs to just not LOSE the game. They look for them to moderate the game until they have the experience to take over. Look at Roethlisburger in year 1: I wouldnt say he won the games, he just didnt lose them. He let his defense do their work and they were fortunate enough to have an incredible running game with a possible future hall of famer in Jerome Bettis.

Tyler Thigpen has not LOST these last 2 games for us. I would put that on the defense. Hes doing what anyone would expect a QB with 3 games under his belt would do. Hes learning and growing, and if he can work on his accuracy issues and staying calm under pressure he has a lot of potential.

Props to Thiggy. He's played well the last 2 games. Herm lost the game for the team today.
It still is to early to make the call on Thigpen though but I really hope the guy continues to play well. Came from a small school, undrafted, etc.
I'm rooting for him all the way.
