Haley will serve as guest analyst on ESPN show
Former Chiefs coach Todd Haley, fired on Monday after the team’s 37-10 loss to the New York Jets, will be a guest analyst tomorrow on the ESPN show “Audibles,” which will air from 7 p.m. to 8 p.m. He’ll appear alongside regular analysts Keyshawn Johnson, Trent Dilfer and Jerry Rice.

An ESPN communications executive described the show as having a viewer-controlled format, allowing the analysts to answer questions.

Haley spent less than three seasons as Chiefs coach before being fired Monday.

Pretty much.

Nothing changed.

He still tried to be smarter than everyone else in camp/preseason. His team was still poorly coached. He still played inferior players. He's still fired.

Has someone said that? I know I said I enjoyed it and I liked him. Meaning I liked him on the show and away from the stress of the situation in KC he comes off much better.

I understand what you're saying and I basically agree. Aside from the Haley situation though Pioli made several roster mistakes. I think we all agree on that... but yes I know that's not the point of the conversation in this thread.

Regardless of whether he is a good coach or not, I am not sure he's the crazy one. I think the crazy one may be Pioli. The way Pioli has handled the Haley situation is CRAZY. The off season after which the Chiefs won the division, Pioli has schemed already to get rid of Haley? Just seems...bizarre.

With how this season has played out he had good reason to want to fire Haley last year. The Chiefs were still getting blown out in games. They weren't getting along. And Haley went full reerun this season.
