People Alex Smith is coming and we aren't likely drafting Geno. QB in the 2nd? Sure that is very likely but it will be someone to be groomed under Alex.

If Reid thinks Alex Smith is a better qb than Geno than GTFO. However drafting a younger guy to be the face of your franchise would cost you 5 million dollars less and be a lot younger than Alex Smith. Unless they plan on using him as a 1 year rental and try to trade up next year to get a Murray bridgewater or manziel. This doesn't seem like something Reid or Dorsey would do. After this week we know Joeckel and Warmack are the BPA. It's Geno.

This story is really strange.
