Florida Planeteers....riding out the storm or evacuating?
It's my first weekend here in Florida and look what happens....Hurricane Matthew.


I lived in Columbia SC and they had the 1000 year flood there. Now they are experiencing one of the strongest hurricanes in several years.

Maybe I am the bad weather charm.

Lot's of reasons... people don't know logistically where they would go to evacuate, people don't want to leave their pets and many shelters don't allow pets, people don't think it will be that bad, etc.

If you stay behind and a hurricane makes a direct hit, it is a mistake you won't make again (assuming you are lucky enough to survive).

Me and my family stayed in our home in South Miami Dade during Hurricane Andrew and we spent an entire night sheltering in a bathtub as our house was being ripped apart.

I won't be making that mistake again.

Welp....NE Kansas no tornados and only got .25" rain. Me thinks the weather stations want to scare us. It is better that they say it is going to be a Witches Brew, we run away, then it turns out to be nothing. Or then to say it is just a spring shower and it turns out to be a Witches Brew.
