Ugh, a rough estimate -
The Man Who Shot Liberty Valance L.A. Confidential The Hunt For Red October Tombstone Casablanca Honestly that is pretty set (not the order) outside of Tombstone could be swapped out at any given time for Die Hard (and absolutely is swapped out at Christmas time). But really, those are the movies that if I’m not already watching on my own I’ll stop and watch when I come across them.

1. Forrest Gump
2. Inception 3. How to Train Your Dragon 4. Aliens 5. Horrible Bosses I tried to think of the five movies that if you gave me a chance to watch I would say "**** yeah!" to. I tried to think of movies from different genres; from Oscar contender, to suspense, to animated, to horror, to comedy and this is the list I came up with. Could Dark Knight be on there, of course. Braveheart, League of their Own, Tommy Boy, Lion King, so many others that are in that same bracket. |

If I were to make a list of the top 5 movies someone who has zero knowledge of cinema MUST see it probably doesn’t make the list but, I’d cut the throat of another deserving film to put it in the top 10 with out hesitation.

I really can't be the only one to pick Unforgiven, right?
Seeing plenty of Tombstone and Josie Wales votes, all perfectly reasonable choices of course But witnessing grizzled old William Munny transform back into the scoundrel from Missouri, a killer of women and children can only get ONE vote? Lost count of how many times I've watched it a looong time ago, CLASSIC Americana... if period authenticity and believability is what you want, then Clint Eastwood is your huckleberry here |
