*.* 2014 General Fitness Thread *.*
Welcome to 2014! Now get your ass in top physical condition!
No one else started it so here it is! **From the 2013 Thread** If you want to get back into lifting, or need a new lifting routine, START HERE: http://startingstrength.wikia.com/wi...inner_Programs If you have questions about the SS programs, look here: http://startingstrength.wikia.com/wiki/FAQ Keep in mind that you're a novice lifter for a longer period of time than you think you are. Novice lifting can last anywhere from a few months to a year or two, depending on how hard you hit the weights and where you started. Once you've reached the point where you don't make regular progress on the SS program, you are ready to move on to the intermediate stage, which can last you for a good number of years. Find it HERE: http://madcow.hostzi.com/5x5_Program/Linear_5x5.htm If you're a very advanced lifter (many, many years of CONSISTENT weight training), then there are lot of programs out there, and which one you pick is simply a matter of preference. If you're really that advanced, you should know what works for you and what doesn't by this point. |

The problem is, I eat all the time all day long. I literally graze. It's going to be a real pain in the ass to keep track of it. I'm gaining weight right now, so I'm not too concerned about counting the stuff, but if I start to plateau, I guess I'll have to really look into the numbers to see just where I'm at. Hell, I'll probably have to do that anyway to see where I need to go up and down when that point arrives. Blehhhh... |

Yeah. I'd just portion out your grazing material by calories and know that's what you have to graze on for the day. 20 almonds 10 carrots 10 pieces of pepperoni etc... Once you get that counted out a few times, you should be able to mix and match. But in all honesty, that's why I fast... I can't be bothered to deal with that level of calorie counting, and my "grazing" turns into ridiculous overeating very quickly.

You can take an OTC steroid to crush T Level with some Tudca to keep liver enzymes in check if they want to check those as well. Then you can get prescribed test. However that's likely not even needed at a TRT center. I had a buddy call and ask them "what happens if I have to pay for the visit and bloodwork and it comes back fine?" Their response was "It's ALWAYS low" |

The work required to put in the massive amounts of cardio to burn calories is just not worth it. You're better off just eating less. |

I love to run - I quit mostly because I want my knees to last.

I wouldn't think twice about TRT except I don't believe my insurance covers it. I would probably hit juice if I could afford it and my wife wouldn't divorce me over it.;-) |

That moment in the gym when you tell yourself, "One more set. You got this. Now do it!" And then you realize someone near you is glancing over at you because you actually said it out loud.
