This is silly. What's more likely...Hill contributes massively on offense in a WCO that takes a while for rookies to learn?.....or Hill makes massive contributions returning kicks and punts?

I like the training camp hype, but it's far more likely his year one contributions come on Special Teams.

Let the dude return kicks.

I fully disagree.

Hill was the star of the offseason and has continued throughout Training Camp, with and without pads. His route running in the video I've seen is impressive for a rookie drafted in any round and he's only going to improve.

And with the new kickoff rule, why wouldn't the KR's just kneel down and get an automatic 25 yards?

Hill is competing and has shown already that he's a Top 4 WR on this team and with enough flashes, will end up playing a significant amount of offensive snaps this year.

If I'm wrong, I'll happily admit it. But, there have been plenty of camp stars that disappeared when regular season rolled around.

You make a fine point, there is still much left to learn, more camp and preseason games to dial in closer to the truth... so I hear what you're saying, I'm not trying not to get too far ahead of the story with camp hype

But this guy absolutely torches our starters on a daily basis, at least for now thats enough to squash any talk of spending his talents on special teams IMO

You're basing an opinion of Tyreek Hill on what other people have done in past Chiefs camps which IMO, is a very odd position to take.

Which camp "stars" ran a 4.24? Were impressive from OTA's, minicamps and training camp, only to disappear?

The dude's out there punking Marcus Peters, yet no one is allowed to be excited about it, even while watching the video?

yea but not all of the training camp heroes are going to be a hit on game days. Law of probability says the Chiefs aren't going to go 100% on all these unknowns.

Maybe Hill hits, maybe March busts, maybe Nelson busts, maybe Russel hits?

But they are not all going to hit, not even close. One or two of them are going to be terrible/completely useless on gameday. I have no idea which ones that will be so I am cheering for them all until they fail on Sundays, then I will turn on them and make them the scapegoat if we suck. The Chiefsplanet way.

I think it's because you're using that word lightly.

Sure there are always guys that get a few fluff pieces and get "hyped up" to be a solid contributor, but if they haven't done shit on the field expectations are still pretty low because everybody is aware of what you're talking about. Take CAT for example, people like myself hyped him up to be a guy that could be a good situational pass rusher. Does that sound like "star" hype?

This guy is legitimately a camp star. He's outshining everybody, including the best players on the team. He's smoking Peters (lol) on go routes at practice. He has the coaching staff welcoming the hype and expectations themselves, something they don't do unless they're confident it will translate over to the games.

I'd get Hill on the field as much as possible.

Kickoff returns, punt returns, slot WR, out wide, gadget back, wildcat...you can't fear injury when you have a guy with his potential.

You get the ball in his hands as much as you can and force defenses to compensate to adjust and then you throw everything else at them.

Hahaha.....Travis Kelce just snapchatted about a dude asking him to sign his arm after practice. When he told the dude he didn't think it was a good idea, the guy replied by saying he was headed straight to the tattoo parlor afterwards to get it tatted. Again, Kelce gave him the look like...whaa?

Anyways, Kelce signed, and the dude went and got the tattoo.

This is exactly right. We've all seen players hyped, but Hill is torching people everyday. I remember him playing at OSU and he constanly blew by people with angles playing RB. The fact that they say he's picking up everything quickly screams to me he's no fluke.

I didn't want him because of the incident, but if he learned from it and keeps his nose clean he can be a star for sure.
