Novice lifting can last anywhere from a few months to a year or two, depending on how hard you hit the weights and where you started. Once you've reached the point where you don't make regular progress on the SS program, you are ready to move on to the intermediate stage, which can last you for a good number of years. **** this working out shit.
I bowled 4 games, waited around a bit then stationary biked for 30 minutes, did a few reps with dumbbells then ran on the treadmill short of 8mph for a minute and change... and I feel like I only burned like 100 calories or something.

Have you tried those wraps. They get average reviews on Amazon mainly due to slipping down easily. |

They will be once I limber my arms up a little bit. For now, they hurt my wrists...lol. Just have to work on them.
Tonight was 3/15 dead lifts (@ 95 lbs), 3/15 straight leg dead lifts (2 @ 95 lbs, 1 @ 115 lbs), and then superset: 21 thrusters with 45 lb barbell 300 m row 15 thrusters 200 m row 9 thrusters 100 m row Thrusters kicked my ass! That when I asked if working on front squats would help. He said yes, and spent time trying to correct my form. I have the hardest time keeping my elbows up so the bar can rest on my shoulders. At one point, he asked, "Are you choking yourself right now? 'Cause you kind of look like you're choking yourself right now." |

Bought the wraps. Only bought one for my left since its the only one that hurts anymore. It's been hurting all day so I just cycled for 30 minutes. Personal best of 8.95 miles.
If I need to buy one for the right I'll get one later. |

217.0 lbs. this morning. Up from 214.8 a week or two ago (something like that).
Back and tri's are still screaming from three hours ago. Had a weird experience in the gym tonight. Supersetting between lat pull downs and tricep push downs on the multi-machine thingamabob. Right next to each other. I finish a set on the pull downs and take one step over to the triceps (literally 1.5 feet away from each other) and some older middle aged dude just dives in a parks his ass on the lat machine I just got off of two seconds ago. I finish my set of tri's and just stand there wondering if he's going to do a set, ask if he can work in or whatever, but he just sits there. I start to ask him if he wants to work in, he looks at me pissed and basically yells "Are you still working here?" I start to say "Yes, and you're welcome to work in wi..." He bolts up, gives me a crusty look, whips his hand at me in dismissal and begins to charge off. Quickly I state "You are welcome to work in wi..." and with another curt hand gesture flung behind his back, he almost sprints away. "Or not..." I say to no one. The weird thing was, there were two other lat pull down devices to the left or right that weren't even being used. Man, the gym has some weird ass people in it. |
