Well fellas what do we think?

At this point this is not even guaranteed based on his short time with KC.

So who do you feel had the bigger advantage? The 49er DLine vs that KC OLine? Or Philly's Dline vs. this Oline for KC? I think that might be a better gauge then a straight head to head comparison of the two Dlines.
I'd rather have that OL vs. the 49ers DL than our present OL vs. the Eagles DL.

Interior lines are easier to find help for. You can help OTs, but you can't really just shade protection to do it. You have to actually use RBs and TEs to provide it most of the time.

I think you can be more pro-active in what you do when you have strong tackles than when you have a strong IOL.

I said it before and I will say it again, if Philly does that then KC will shred them as Andy and Pat have two weeks to design ways to beat that defense. If that happens and KC wins their DC might not want to return to Philly after the game.

This will be the game that Frank Clark establishes himself as the league's PREMIER cover lineman.

Zone blitz, Hurts doesn't see it, gets sped up and BOOM - Clark takes a pick the other way for 6...

This board if that actually happens....would be one of the greatest things I've ever seen. TwistedChief would never shutup.

That's fair which is why I was asking. While the 49er Dline was better than Philly's, this Eagle's Dline vs this Chiefs Oline is a tougher challenge and could be the difference in the game.

There is a ton of clips on that dudes page that show that the Eagles run simple passing concepts and if a defense can take it away, Hurts bails. He doesn't go through progressions, he looks at where it's suppose to go and if it's not there he just bails.

And their counters seem to be he either just throws screens or takes deep shots, a ton of his passes are 50/50 balls outside of the numbers.

Hurts is a dude that could at some point throw 5 picks in a game because he's making decisions before the ball is snapped and if it isn't there he immediately panics.

The only thing that can really slow down the Chiefs offense is poor execution, IMO. And if you start sending heat, you speed them up and may actually HELP them get locked in.

It's like a manager putting on a hit and run call when he has a hitter struggling. Now the hitter HAS to swing the bat and maybe he gets out of his own head and finds the barrel.

You blitz Mahomes early and you're going to immediately get him focused. And if that happens, you're boned.
Makes sense, I was just looking at it by playing the long game. Hit Mahomes early and often (most likely through the blitz) while sacrificing yards and points in the hopes that later in the game he hears ghosts and commits unforced errors.

The execution of these respective units will HEAVILY favor the Chiefs, IMO.

Our coaches can/will call far more varied and dynamic concepts on both offense and defense because they have a bunch of dudes who will execute it.

Maybe, in a vacuum, the Eagles have marginally more talent. But the Chiefs put their comparable talent to higher/better use.

The number of sacks that the Eagles have allowed despite having the supposed best OL in football and a trio of great WRs/TE seems to confirm that Hurts has a long ways to go reading defenses.

That’s why I like Kalrlaftis in this game. His motor is relentless. I think he’ll eventually get there, while Hurts is taking too long.

Lolz, what will be really hilarious I’d watching all the Frank haters twisting the facts into a pretzel trying to downplay whatever play Frank actually makes. “It was just a coverage pick-6!! Anybody could do it!!! Those don’t count!!!” Et cetera and so on

That's also why having a spy on him will be important. If he bails and takes off he needs to be hit hard and often. If his throwing shoulder is messed up, those hits will inevitably add up. Plus I don't believe he is a slide first QB.

I find it hard to believe that the Eagles aren’t just “happy to be here”.

Mahomes and Reid are in full legacy mode.

I always favor the matchups and schemes over the intangibles, but I’ve seen Hurts in a National Championship. It wasn’t pretty.
