To clarify. Player had to play for the Chiefs. Player did not need his prime to be with the Chiefs.

Poll added. Player must have been mentioned twice as primary answer to be eligible. By the way I’m enjoying the answers while planning our next day of snorkeling in Grand Cayman. We love it here.

First two times we stayed north at Rum Point. Trying Georgetown this time to spend more time at the beaches down here. We always VRBO it and stay in houses or condos.

I never thought I came across two Priest posts where he was the only player mentioned. I’d have added him otherwise.

DT would NOT disappear with Jones and Clark to team up with. And we could run DB blitzes with impunity.

2009 Revis, 2016 Eric Berry, 1990 DT, or 2014 Justin Houston. In that order.

Revis has to be the number one choice. He played straight man and followed the other team's best receiver. He legitimately erased a #1 receiver week in and week out. That'd be invaluable in the postseason to lock down TY Hilton, Juju, OBJ, Edelman, Hopkins, etc.

Had to go Revis. Position of need and was one of the best cover corners ever in his prime after the league became a passing league.

A prime Revis makes this defense top 5.

Not to disparage any of these guys, but the D scheme plays a large role. Some of you have mentioned Buck. He was a DT in a 4-3, so if you put him in a 3-4, you'd have to move him to DE. Same could be said for DT. OLB in a 3-4, in a 4-3 he'd have to put his hand in the dirt. Not that they couldn't have done it, but I wonder if that wouldn't have effected their performance. CBs and S would be about the same. DJ and Mr. Lanier would be great as either an ILB or a MLB. Just a thought.

that's exactly what they did with DT. He was a 3-4 OLB when Bill Cowher and Dave Adolph were DC; when they switched to a 4-3, they called him the "Falcon hybrid"; he lined up at DE and OLB, depending...
