To be fair, KU's win against Gtech is better than any of MU's wins, whether that game was a fluke or not. I remember the last time MU played a team that ran an option offense (Navy), and it wasn't pretty.

I can't remember the last time MU played someone that was worth a shit in their non conf schedule. And Illinois isn't worth a shit. They're terrible.

It'll be interesting if MU can keep on winning once conf play starts. I don't see them beating Nebraska, if they can though, they should be the front runners to win the north. They may have trouble w/ KSU as well.

I think we'll go 5-3, 4-4 at worst. I don't think we'll slip up against K-State, KU, Iowa St or Colorado, we didn't last year. So there's 8 wins right there. I think at worst we'll go 1-3 against A&M, Tech, OU & Nebraska. If we can somehow pull out 2 wins against those teams, that's 10 wins w/ a bowl game still. Can't wait for Big 12 play, could be a really good season for MU on the way.

I'd have to say that beating a team that played in the 2008 Rose Bowl would qualify as a good non-con opponent.

Bowling Green should have won their bowl game last year as well.

Nevada was a bowl team last year, too.

The qb sneaks could also be embarrassing for Miami.

You're talking about Illinois' 2007 season. Which was also a very good season for MU as well, that was a very talented MU team.

My bad, Illinois had 1 good season in roughly 10 yrs. All the other seasons they never won more than 5 games.

Usually Pinkel won't play any teams from SEC or PAC-10, etc. Well, they did play Ole Miss one season, but Pinkel just likes to beat up on his former MAC opponents. He'll stick a couple WAC teams in there somewhere.

Id like to see how MU would do against a USC, Miami, or some other power schools. Sadly that won't ever happen. No offense but the only ones who look at the Nevada wins and Bowling Green type wins and call them "good wins" are MU fans.

On 4th down, Franklin had an open lane to the endzone to his left, which is where he was headed. At the last moment, he very visibly slowed and turned back into the pile and didn't score. Just before that play, Pinkel went all the way to the hash mark, called Franklin over and spoke to him briefly. Maybe that's completely normal, but I am guessing he pretty much told him not to score. I could be wrong.

On its first series, MIzzou ran for 23 more yards than Miami has been allowing per game (55)

So basically since we don't play one of the 2-3 toughest non-cons in the country, which would do us absolutely no good, by the way, we have a cupcake schedule.

Get out, beaker.

I don't mind running sets with 4 and 5 WR, but I think we should do it from an ace formation under center. You still get the effect of spreading the D out while the QB actually learns to make reads and drops, and you can have a far more conventional running game.

Basically, you'd be sacrificing the bubble screens to be able to run the ball better.
