I think what we're seeing now is teams are focused more on defending our passing attack.

When we had Charles he was their primary focus. Now Cassel is getting the full brunt of their attention because Bowe/Breaston/Baldwin are our primary playmakers.

More attention on our passing game is bad news for Cassel.

Next to Cassel our biggest weakness is our huge gaping hole of no pass rush. It is no wonder Matt Moore looked wonderful when he had perfect pocket 98% of the time.

Why is it whenever the whole team plays like stale dog shit it's always the quarterback the lynch mobs go after? I just can't take this defense serious if as a unit they can let reggie bush and matt more look like the 94 cowboys.

I don't think it's reasonable to expect the defense to hold the enemy to 0 touchdowns (or points) forever. The offense has to do something ... in order for us to be successful, I mean.

Besides, the guys on defense are cool guys. Cassel is a doofus extraordinaire.

a good Qb should be able to overcome a CRAP defense that cant stop the miami dolphins and a horrible O-line that cant protect the QB and a running game that cant get yards AND also playcalling that is mind bogglingly stupid, and also wouldnt cause his receivers to drop so many balls. A good QB would win despite all things things. Win on his OWN.

Cassel got zero help today. That being said, and when I say this I am not just brushing it aside, a good QB needs to make throws under pressure. Certainly not saying under that much pressure, but I didn't see any good throws under pressure. He also got super happy feet for throws when he didn't have pressure.

The offensive line today was unacceptable. Same for the pass rush. As far as Cassel himself, he needs to do better under pressure. Can't ask him to have a great game under the circumstances today, but he has never made plays under pressure and I doubt he ever will.

If you walked away from this game just saying Cassel sucks and nothing else you have blinders on. If you walked away from this game thinking Cassel did nothing wrong, you aren't expecting or demanding a QB capable of winning a SB. We have work to do at plenty of positions. Problem for Cassel, although he gets paid very well for it, is that he plays the most important position.

The same reason that when the whole team plays great that a bunch of people come out saying how great Cassel played.

He is really the same QB in both games. And that is not a good thing.

The protection was putrid today, but Cassel has had ok protection before this game and still not much offense to show for it. This is a "make plays at the QB position or **** off" league. Matt Cassel needs to **** off.

Because the rest of the guys had a bad game. The QB is just plain bad.

Being a person who played somewhat meaningful sporting games in my life, it is really tough to come back after a big win like we had on Monday night.

With that said, today was unnacceptable. The defense couldn't get off the field. We ran two times the number of plays the Phins did and had 12 more minutes in the TOP.

In my opinion it is looking like drafting Houston in the third when Mallett was on the board (if I'm remembering correctly) was a mistake.

When the defense brings more guys than the line can block, it's the job of the qb to recognize it and move his protection around. You can most certainly put that on Cassel.

As long as we are "in" playoff contention we won't sniff Stanzi at all.

The fact that Pioli thinks Cassel is or ever could have been the answer at qb makes me think this franchise is going to stay where it always has been. And frankly I'm sick of it. I didn't even get that pissed today. I just can't get into seasons like this anymore when you know you have no chance to do anything of importance.

What irks me is that even if we were out of playoff contention, we still wouldn't see Stanzi.
