Geno Smith Escorted off airplane by police for verbal altercation

Apparently he was upset with their seating policy. Can't you see Brady, Manning or Rodgers doing this?

Geno Smith Allegedly Escorted Off Plane By LAX Cops [UPDATE]
Geno Smith Allegedly Escorted Off Plane By LAX Cops [UPDATE]
SEXPAND
Jets quarterback Geno Smith was apparently escorted off a Virgin America flight at LAX today by police after what a witness called a "verbal altercation."

The photo you see above was sent to us by a reader who witnessed the incident and says the shot came "moments before" Smith was escorted out of the airport by cops. Our tipster wasn't the only person who saw it:

@JimmyTraina I don't have video, but I'm at LAX and just saw a Geno Smith fiasco yelling at Virgin America workers. Escorted by cops LOL

— Mark Rue (@markyOso) January 17, 2014
We're working on getting more details, but it looks like Geno's weekend isn't off to a great start.

Update (7:11 p.m.): Our tipster fills in some details:

We were waiting for our flight at LAX to Vegas and were put on standby on Virgin American just like Geno. We were told to get seat assignment at 2:40. Apparently Geno was not on board with that. My friend walked over to discuss seat assignment and Geno was saying to airline ticket agents, "**** that, this is bullshit." "Why the **** do I have to wait until 2:40." He would not let it go. He continued to curse and be loud for about 5 minutes. Police were called. They talked for a few minutes and then 3 officers escorted him out of the terminal.

I assume you are ready to say Luck is a better QB than Montana, Manning, Elway, Brady etc...as well.
So far Geno >>> Alex period end of discussion. Where Geno goes from here is up to him. But rookie season to rookie season Geno is the clear winner.

Clear winner of an imaginary competition in your head? Good grief dude.

Does he get a trophy for that or like a Subway gift card?

All I can tell you is this, seeing Geno play this year and seeing his actions, body language, and demenor, I don't see a reason to be overly optomistic.
I never said it did. I was responding to a post that someone made laughing at the idea that Geno's rookie season was better than Alex's..

It's not difficult to understand.

How do you you compare the two? Just stats? Geno started twice as many games.

This is asinine. The best you've got, even leaving out a boatload of variables, is

"2013 Geno Smith > 2005 Alex Smith".

That, in no way, equates to Geno >>> Alex, and pretending it does is idiocy of the highest order.

You realize that Alex Smith today is nothing like Alex Smith in his rookie season right? Is this 2005 or 2014? Are you smoking crack?

Right now Alex Smith is better than Geno Smith, in 2014, no contest. Put down the crackpipe.

Lets do our best to compare the two in similar situations, shall we?

How about we try to compare the 2 quarterbacks production against the same opponents...here are the 4 shared opponents they both had. With similar opponents, I used the first matchup in the season series because a second matchup isn't offered to both teams.

Geno went 3-1 in these matchups while Alex went 4-0..edge Alex in the win column.

Lets move on to passing yards...

Buffalo ...Alex had 124 yards...Geno had 331.
Tennessee ...Alex had 245...Geno had 289.
Oakland...Alex had 128...Geno had 219.
Cleveland ...Alex had 225...Geno had 214.

So, going strictly by passing yards, Geno wins and it's not even close.

Geno threw for 1053 yards and won those games by a combined scoring output of 101 points
Alex threw for 722 yards and went 3-1 with a combined offensive scoring output of 96 points.

Advantage Geno.

Now, lets compare scoring output.

In those 4 games, the Jets put up 101 points.
In those same 4 games, the Chiefs scored 96 points.

Slight advantage to Geno...even though he didnt have Jamaal Charles.

Lets keep going by comparing TD to INT ratio.

For those 4 games, Alex had 2 touchdown passes and 1 pick
For those games, Geno had 6td passes and 5 picks

I think that's probably a push, maybe a slight advantage to Geno for getting the ball into the endzone.

Lets move on to total QBR. This is a sliding scale from 0-100, so adding the 4 totals together should give us a fairly accurate assessment of how they did overall against these 4 opponents.

Geno Smith scored a combined total of 264 out of a possible 400...an average of 66 total QBR.
Alex Smith scores a combined total of 133.8..an average of just 33.45 when NFL average is about 50.

In this category (which probably is best best way to gauge overall effectiveness of the way the player plays the position) Geno completely blows Alex away.
...shit, he basically had DOUBLE THE EFFECTIVENESS AGAINST THE SAME TEAMS...AND THAT WAS WITH GENOS SCORE BEING DRAGGED DOWN A BIT WITH ONLY A 7 total QBR against Tennesee.

Tell me some more about how much Geno Smith sucks and Alex is the awesome.

I am laughing my ass off at Boss right now. You will barely remember Geno Smith in 3 years just like Sanchez.

Also, I noticed of the two games against Oakland you went with Alex's weaker game, stat wise.
