Yeah you probably get snarky responses frequently because your ideology is shit on a consistent basis.

Wait till next year is the biggest ****ing draft cliche. **** off with that shit.

Rosen is more or less about as unproven as the QB's in this class, with a slight bump up for talent but take that away because he's coming off a major shoulder injury which is a redflag until he shows no problems from it. The 2018 hype is a lot of hopeful projecting and if I'm the Chiefs, I take a QB whenever I have the chance to get any prospect that has a high ceiling and fits the Offense.

Doesn't matter what draft class it is. If I had a dollar for everytime some Chiefs fan in a greasy pair of Zubaz bought in 1991 said the next draft class is gonna be sick bro wait till next year....check out this can't miss stud Guard, I'd have a lot of dollars.

Remember at the end of the 2012 draft when everybody said, "It's okay that we didn't waste picks on Ryan Tannehill. 2013 is going to be just as good of a class if not better."

The hype around the potential of Bray, Barkley, Tyler Wilson, the steady eddy nature of guys like Landry Jones and Aaron Murray (people thought he would declare early) and yes, the exciting potential of Geno Smith. That was all parroted by not only national media guys and a couple drafturbators, but ALSO the "be patient and wait for the right QB in the right class" people.

The REAL bottom line is if you like Mahomes, then go ****ing draft him. DON'T wait for better options, because it's just as likely a QB class can flop and bust just as much as an individual QB prospect can

So much truth and wisdom here. Waiting in this league gets you nothing.

I dont see Dorsey passing on a QB that he and Reid like to take one in the next draft. If a QB is there at 27 that they want then he will be a Chief. However, I don't see a QB prospect that'd move Dorsey to trade a 1st and two 3rd's to go up and get. Not in this class.

Bingo.

Nobody has a clue how next years QB class with look till next year is played out.

If there's a QB you like, go get him.

If it's a swing and a miss, swing again next year.

I'm pretty sure the scouts have some idea about the guys who could be drafted next year though.

They had some idea about the 2013 class a year before it happened.

They were dead ****ing wrong.

"Next year will be better" isn't a good strategy. You're waiting a WHOLE YEAR on an unknown instead of pulling the trigger now on the unknown.

Interestingly enough I recall Mayock repeatedly stating how that 2013 QB class scared him and that he didn't see a QB in that class worth a top 10 pick or a franchise QB in the whole lot. He's expressed the same sentiments toward the 2017 class.

He was right about the 2013 class and it's a safe bet his thinking wasnt in the minority of the scouting community. That's likely the case again this year.

Not saying this entire class of QB'S will be nothing but backups or free agents in four years like the '13 group...just that it's highly probable the scouts aren't as high on the 2017 crop of quarterbacks as fans are.

As for the 2018 class....nobody is suggesting to wait for it. But earlier was a post suggesting the Chiefs use a 1st and two 3rd round picks to move and draft a QB THIS year. Having watched and read quite a bit about this QB class, I don't think that'd be a wise move at all.

The 2018 class, however, is one where I see talent worth such a move. I never suggested "waiting" or passing on a QB in '17 to take one in '18.

"Waiting" on a QB class goes against the principles Dorsey was schooled on by Wolf which say it's best to draft a QB every year.

So it's likely the Chiefs do draft a QB in 2017...which quarterback and in what round remains to be seen. Based on how Dorsey has drafted and repeatedly stated in press conferences, however, I don't see them packaging those picks to go after one.

They were dead wrong about 2013? The year where they traded for Smith have won for 4 consecutive years while every QB from that class flamed out.

I'm not going to hold my breath on Dorsey and Reid actually being successful in finding a QB.

The bottom line is that if they're serious about winning it all this year then we have to make a change at quarterback. If Alex is our starting quarterback in week 1 then it doesn't matter what we do with our draft picks this year. A Ferrari with a Chevy Vega engine isn't going to get the job done!
