In this case, PB is a far more developed persona than Cosmo. Theoretically the mult should be less detailed, less "meat on the bone" so to speak as it's a made up persona.

I feel like there's too much consistency, too much character development for PB to a mult. Too many details that have been consistent over the years. The PB persona is too well educated in what he believes, too well rehearsed.

Meanwhile the Cosmo persona is very vague, not much depth there.
On one hand, I could totally see a mult being a place to be more creative and make up shit for attention... OTOH, having a relatively uninteresting and dickish account for 10 years first is strange. That leads to the thought of multiple mults and not just two accounts 10 years apart.

And I agree in the sense you can't alter-ego upwards... it harder to ACT like you're outgoing or have charisma or are relatively interesting when you simply aren't (and just speaking universally, not specific to these two accounts).

But... considering the internet provider is also relatively obscure (and both IPs actually land in the same suburb/side of the state, even if that's not always accurate), I'm leaning towards the mult theory.

Hell, if you took two random people from CP and accused them of being mults, I'd bet at least one of them would fight it, but neither care at all... would have been smarter to have one account really fight it and want to prove it while the other didn't care. Differentiate the personalities a bit.

So maybe Cosmo and PB are both mults and there's a 3rd (or more) persona?

The rabbit hole goes deeper...

I have to wonder though how many of us have similar IP's.

I'd bet me and 2bikemike could appear as mults, considering we'd likely have near identical IP's since he lives, likely, within a 10 mile radius of where im posting from.

Yeah, it mostly depends on whether you share a network... like if you both have Verizon or both have the same internet provider or ever use the same public wifi (so if the local Starbucks and local Buffalo Wild Wings both used Cox, they could potentially overlap, too).

I didn't see him, but see Buck a few times, plus a handful of the same people who may have visited SoCal or overlap because you visited KC.... I saw Bambi, which I always thought was a PB mult.

San Diego is dominated by Cox, so i'd imagine most of us down here will have Cox as their ISP.

They are probably the same person, but it isn't really making the site worse so I say let the person who operates the accounts do their weird thing.
