This show could be a lot better, but I will take below average filler with great moments over a cancelled show any day. |

Other than the danger they it themselves in getting him off of the fence, what danger has Randall brought to the group?
Whether they save him or not, the other group still knows they exist. Whether they kill him or not, the risk that the other group finds them is the same. The only way he is a danger, is if they force him to leave their group. Then, he has no choice but to try and find his buddies again. If they let him stay, saving his life outweighs beating him up for info. Why would he try to run off to find his old group when: 1. they left him to die, whereas this group risked their lives to save him. 2. He said it himself, they never stay in the same place more than one night. 3. He has only been with their group a short while. The group has been traveling the country pretty much(confirmed by guys in the bar not being locals, one from Philly, and talking about going from rumor to rumor for safety), they only picked him up when they got to this town(confirmed b/c he's a local) and obviously don't plan on staying long, as they haven't set up shot anywhere else between here and Philly, why would they all of a sudden drop anchor here? |

Then bald idiot traps himself in a bus and cuts his own hand to smear blood on the doorway... why cut your hand?! You might need to use your hands! How about your upper arm? Then he smears his blood on the doorway and lures the walkers in and stabs them in the head WITH HIS HAND! I'm sure there's no way he could get any of their blood on that wound that way. Then the stupid kid steals a gun and goes off and almost gets caught by a walker and leaves the gun behind and when he comes back all muddy (and while he's gone) no one ever wonders where Carl is while they're suppossedly under such a threat... and no one notices he's dirty once he comes back because they're too busy debating something they should have never had to deal with in the first place with the prisoner. Hey forshadowing... the gun the stupid kid took will be needed when walkers or the prisoners people come to call and the owner goes to his saddle bag to find............ nothing. I swear grade school kids write this show.

This show isn't about Zombies. It's about survivors, how they deal with it and how it changes them. The "filler" is what the show is about. The action is necessary b/c it is bound to bound(wow autocorrect) in this type of world. As for them being stupid, some of them are, imo it's Shane, Lori, Carl, Andrea and now Rick being too big of a bitch to stand for his own convictions and letting Shane's opinion of how he handles things affect his decision making. His own insecurity is going to he a weakness, already is. Last edited by aturnis; 03-05-2012 at 11:18 PM.. |

I have no shame in admitting that I'm addicted to TWD. I started w/ the first episode and have been intrigued w/ it ever since. Of course, I'm a sucker for zombies.
TWD has ups and downs, like every show does, but I enjoy a story line that keeps me wondering what will happen next. I'll admit that some events were lame and predictable, but others kept me on the edge of my seat. Like the scene w/ Shane in the bus. I thought for sure his ass was toast! ![]() As far as the characters, they're "rough", no argument there. Some drop out of character, (loss of accent, straining to show a natural emotion, repetitive dialogue, etc.), but they have individuality. The worse thing writers can do is have the majority of their characters be similar. The comments on this thread is enough proof that the writers did a good job at making hateful/likable characters. Not everyone will like this show *cough* beer me *cough* ![]() ![]() |

I like zombies and I'd probably like this show if the writers had proved they were worthy of moving onto 2nd grade. As it is I'm sure I've seen my first and last 2 episodes.

For example, the blood exchange through cuts. That is one of the things I noticed right off the bat. Shane and Rick were cutting their hands for a reason. They were smearing the blood in order to draw the Walkers' attention to the blood so they can stab them. Ok, cool. No problem there. Oh, wait, now they have open wounds and there is zombie blood flinging everywhere. Oops. Problem. Or is it? ![]() In a previous episode, that took place at the CDC building, the "whisper" occurred. As you have only seen 2 episodes, you may not know about the guy in the CDC building whispering something to Rick. There's speculation that everyone is already infected and that they will only turn into zombies when they die. If this is the case, blood exchange wouldn't matter. |

As I outlined that's not the only hole in the show. My brother and I watched 2hours worth and literally laughed out loud and one hole after another. Luckily I'll never see another episode so the fans here can continue the discussion without me. ![]()

Simple question though... if you were fighting a physical battle with killers and you needed to use your own blood as bait for them wouldn't there be a better place to cut than across your palm? I mean you might want to keep your hands in top condition in that circumstance. Next time I know there's a good chance I'm going to need to fight off an aggressor my hands will be the first thing I'll wound lol. 2nd grade writting... ![]()

Also, this show has to be realistic. I'll tell you, my fiance's daughter, and my 16 month old son are likely to get me killed. The 16 month old cant help it, but the 15yr. old will do a LOT of stupid shit, hell, so will my fiancee. Doesn't mean I kill them myself to save my own skin.
Idiots are around us everywhere, go to Wal-Mart. Some of those mouth breathers will be survivors. People are stupid, figure that out already. I can't even get my fiancee to help me do simple home projects around the house without displaying complete ineptitude. How do you think she'd fair in a zombie apocalypse? |

![]() But the next time I need to fight off an aggressor I'll be sure to slice my hand open and wound my greatest weapon first. That's tough to figure out sitting on a couch I guess.
