The compensation probably hasn’t leaked because they’re trying to let things cool off before they let everybody know how shitty of a deal it is.

The Chiefs know it’s going to look bad which is exactly why they need to say something to try to explain it. I don’t expect the details that Sauto provided, but some acknowledgment that something happened would be fine.
