I just now signed into the video broadcast of tonight's game. I noticed that several of the Royals have pine-tar stains across their names on the back of their uniforms. Is that a tribute of some sort, perhaps to Gordon?

Yep.

The funny thing is Moustakas and Hosmer are doing it tonight too in their games. In today's sports world it's truly amazing how tight knit that team was.

Yes, thanks! I just now saw that on the reddit.com/r/kcroyals subreddit. A few Padres who are former Royals are doing the tribute...

Man I love what we are seeing from Mondesi. Over the last month he has a .807 OPS, but over the last 15 games he has a 1.176 OPS. It would be incredible if he were able to get his OPS over .700 for the season. Never thought thatd be possible a few weeks ago.

Even more exciting is Singer throws 7 IP and allows 1 run on 3 hits. You have to be excited about Keller, Singer and Bubic.

Finished 26-34. If the Angels lose, the only AL team with a better record that didn't make the playoffs will be the Mariners.
