Well they don't have to give him one if they don't want to really..
He is in the last year of his rookie contract that pays him almost 14 million Then if they want they can tag him for two years. Raiders really are the ones who hold the leverage... I would rather have 5 good players than 1 great player... Don't get me wrong, I like Mack but hey the mans gotta do what he's gotta do. This is the thing that pisses me off about the NFL and contracts... When players suck they don't give the money back but when they play good they don't want to honor their contract. Lots of people want to balk because they say Gruden got 100 million... Gruden says it's not 100 million first off and second that money does not go against the cap. I don't care either way, If he stays great, if he is traded just get his worth. |

I have no qualms about any player fighting for what they feel is adequate compensation. The Raiders are stiffing Mack because they are cap and cash poor. |

As a Chiefs fan i wish the Raiders would get a blockbuster deal done and put them in perpetual cap hell. Honestly, the Raiders are right to not pay him.
That dude is NOT worth a massive contract. The media hype around him is dumb. He's not a game changer. Look at his numbers. He's aight. He's not dominant and never has been.

I definitely don’t agree with that. He’s had more sacks than Miller over the last 3 years with absolutely no other real pass rushing threats around him. |

He didn't log a single sack last season against the Chargers, and only had 1.5 sacks against the Chiefs. 4 Division games and only 1.5 sacks? That's not "Highest paid OLB" production.

He’s averaged 12 sacks a year over the last 3 seasons. That’s pretty ****ing good. I’m not saying he’s the best edge rusher in the league, but he’s definitely top 3 and a dominant player. |

How can you say top 3? He had ONE season in which he was a top 3 pass rusher. No other season has he cracked the top 5. And don't tell me has has no help. Bruce Irvin was only two sacks short of Mack's total last season.

So based off the past two seasons he averages 10.75 sacks a season. That's aight. That's worth aight money.

Mack deserves Melvin Ingram money. Not Von Miller money.
