Official 2010 NFL Combine Thread

Post your observations of the combine here. I know some things I'll be looking at: Mount Cody's weight, 40 times of players we've been talking about in the various threads, or the number of times Tebow's name gets mentioned. Post your observations here.

He's a hell of a lot faster than kickers.

Small player is going to die in the NFL...never heard that one before.

I saw every K-State game he played in and he never got rocked one time. If he was going to get killed in the NFL, it would have happened in college too with a guy as small as he is. It's not like the Big 12 doesn't have big mother****ers who can hit.

He's tough, durable, and lighting fast. He'll be fine.

He will probably be a 6th or 7th round pick though, and will be strictly a return man. But you can't argue that he doesn't have value as a return guy.

While were on the topic of size. Did anyone notice how long Clifton Geathers arms where? Nearly 38"! With his size he could be a solid 5-tech, but due to his bad history with the law he is going to fall a lot.

He should have gone back to school but yea he's basically the prototype 3-4 end, he actually has enough talent to get a pass rush so he's more than just an eat blocks guy.

I never said he would go early. Unlike Holliday from LSU, he's actually a legit position player at WR and more than just a return guy, imo. He knows a pro style system, had good production, has good hands, and he's awesome after the catch.

I think he could go in the 5th, but he's obviously going to get knocked because of his size.

5) How to not tuck it and run once his first option is covered.
Items 1, 2 and 4 are legit concerns for Bradford and McCoy as well. Both of them also have injury/durability issues.

I'm just not that impressed with Gilyard. I think he's good, but he's small and doesn't have room to bulk and his 40 time is unimpressive. Benn was a huge prospect but I think his hands are questionable. I really like Jacoby Ford.

Sucks. Would have been great to nab Tate in the 2nd.

Lets wait and see how John Brantley performs this year. He's a definite NFL style QB with a live arm and great accuracy. It'll be interesting to see how much (hopefully a lot) they change the offense towards his strengths.

My brother-in-law trained this guy at one of the combine camps in L.A. He told me the guy is a thug and went home because he thought his girlfriend was cheating on him. Was running sub 4.4 before he left(dumbass)

Rolando must have had a couple practice runs and didnt want to risk his draft position by running a slower time than some might expect.

I dont buy that he has a hurt hammy one bit.

He'll be running a 39 yard 40, downhill, with the wind to his back on his proday.
