Thats exactly what it is. And its too bad because it interferes with seeing what you truly have. So we won't know what Stanzi is about because its all about the coach at this point and him wanting to get the job. Which guy gives him the best chance to win, so if they do win, he can go out on a positive note and better his chances of being the head coach of the team next year.

Fans of this team may not expect anything from Stanzi, but at this point, its more about hope. You start a young quarterback with hopes that he could give you great play...If it works out, great. And if it doesn't, well, at the end of the day, at least you see that the coaching staff experimented in some sort of way. You don't start him, all that hope is diminished. Even the slightest glim of hope is shutdown at times, and it sucks.

He will give you solid play. But you already know what you have in him. Not starting Stanzi just makes you and everyone else curious to see what kind of young QB you have? If Stanzi started, you and everyone else would by that ticket to satisfy your curiousity. Not playing Stanzi leaves everyone mysterious. Thats not a good feeling.
