Haley will serve as guest analyst on ESPN show
Former Chiefs coach Todd Haley, fired on Monday after the team’s 37-10 loss to the New York Jets, will be a guest analyst tomorrow on the ESPN show “Audibles,” which will air from 7 p.m. to 8 p.m. He’ll appear alongside regular analysts Keyshawn Johnson, Trent Dilfer and Jerry Rice.

An ESPN communications executive described the show as having a viewer-controlled format, allowing the analysts to answer questions.

Haley spent less than three seasons as Chiefs coach before being fired Monday.

I wish that I would have recorded this. I meant to, but forgot and my father in law had a birthday party.

I think Haley will be making a play to be an analyst. I don't think he will be a head coach again. Definitely not for 10 years. Hopefully, he will have grown up by then.

I think the 'this sounds like a KC Media question' is pretty telling. I think he thought he was smarter than everyone at the press conference and was annoyed he had to answer questions from people he deemed to be inferior.

The guys he interacted with tonight were all guys in the business, in his mind, they are his peers.

I could be wrong.... but the whole image of Scott Controli just doesn't fit the way that Crennel has handled things so far.

It's also entirely possible Haley was an impressionable first time coach working under the executive of the decade, and Crennel is older and just doesn't give a you know what. This is his last rodeo and he's going to go down his way.

Haley was a 1st-time head coach who basically owed his position to Pioli and Hunt.

Perhaps Romeo knows he's not on their short list and is auditioning solely for a position with another team?

The bottom line is that EVERYBODY said Todd Haley was a different person when he wasn't trying to keep up the CIA act. To pretend that all of this is on Haley is ignorant in the extreme.

Do you think that Haley got fired for doing what Pioli wanted? How does that work?

Haley got fired because he acted like a child. That is why there is such a huge contrast with Crennel.... Crennel is actually worthy of the position.
