Aaron Murray, anyone?

Just watched him today, and he looks solid. They even said that Tony Dungy advised that if he comes out early that the Chiefs should take him with the number one pick.

What sayeth the group?

Murray is exactly the QB we need to bring in. And we need to bring in an Aaron Murray type every single year.

I wouldn't rely on him to be qbotf. But I would love to see what he could do with some good coaching which I don't think he had.

Doesn't Murray have Tyler Wilson-esque tiny hands or something? 1-2 years ago, I remember this guy being a 1st round staple in nearly every mock draft I'd come across.

why would you say that?

Mark Richt (HC of Georgia) is a former college QB who also was a QB coach and offensive coordinator. Their QB coach/Offensive coordinator was a former (very good) QB for Georgia who went on to coach Mathew Stafford and Aaron Murray.

Bill Walsh would hate Aaron Murray, I think. He just doesn't seem to put it together under pressure. That said, he can make all the throws and he's probably smart enough. I wouldn't mind taking a stab at a guy like him. There is another QB I have my eyes on, (I won't name names because of the CP mock) but I like a little better than Murray as a grooming project.

I also like McCarron better than Murray. I caught so much shit for that last year, but I honestly think McCarron is still underrated as a prospect both in the media and on this board.

I'm a McCarron fan as well. It's like he's automatically dismissed because he's at alabama. Well, he ain't Greg McElroy. I think he's a talented guy who'll probably elevate his (already good...) game at the NFL level.

He will never get credit for it, but he definitely carried that team at points. He was a game-manager simply because that was what Saban wanted him to do. Alabama won with the ground game and defense because they could. Really, it shows how he was a team-player, imo, and willing to do whatever the coach asked of him.

Rather have Murray on the roster than Chase Daniel

I'm a big Murray fan. I would take him in the mid rounds. I think you'd be justified taking him in the late 3rd.

JFC if we take a QB in round 3 I will be livid. We need playmakers NOW and this is a rare draft that can give that to us

Sfeihc just drafted Dakota Dozier in the CP Mock for us.

I guess that's KIND of like a playmaker...
