And most of America hates ARoid (outside of NY), so there's a reason he's not getting a lot of votes. Nobody wants to see him in an All-Star game. As much as people want to see Cruz over Morales, I'm sure most would rather see Morales there over ARoid and the voting seems to reflect that. Unlike Cruz, ARoids not even close on votes.

Too bad for him.
Fielder has also appeared at 1B 10 times this year and there's this thing called a write-in, so no, it's not irrelevant.

So . . . . . you're suggesting there needs to be 2+ million 'write-in' votes for Fielder for All-Star DH?!?

Good luck with that campaign.

Fielder has also hit significantly better than Morales as well. So take Bautista out of it. His numbers still don't stack up to Cruz, Fielder, or Rodriguez.
Do you think the All Star ballot has iso, wrc, etc. on it? Unless fans want to do a bunch of extracurricular research, I believe the only stats on the ballot are avg, hr, rbi, sb, and ab. Keep in mind that Morales has been hitting over .300 for the majority of the year while Rodriguez was hitting like .240. You can't expect every voter to see that and go, "Hmmmmm. I really love Alex Rodriguez. I wonder what his iso is?"

If you take away the three Yankee stadium home runs - and 36 total bases do make a big impact in a 200 AB sample size - Alex Rodriguez's SLG drops to .445. Which would make his ISO .177

Kendrys Morales' current ISO is .176.

So yeah, his ISO is getting some Yankee stadium help.

I'm not aruging that Morales is more deserving necessarily. Just that the comparison, adjusted for ballpark, is not crazy.

I wouldn't be surprised if a few of the Royals' players develop minor physical ailments that allow them to shift in other players.

The butthurt about it makes me laugh, though. Even if the Royals' players don't "deserve" to be in it, Royals fans are making the rest of the league their little bitch for sure.

Rosenthal was on MLBN talking how it will effect the ratings of the ASG if it's all Royals.

don't institute stupid ass voting policies where each email address can vote 35 times if you are worried about ratings

Yeah, because All-Star games have been getting such great viewership numbers for years.

I actually think it may help All-Star game ratings, because a lot of people would tune in just for the novelty of it all.

If you wanna increase all-star ratings then you have to simply have Donaldson in there over Moosehead. Then we're talking lol

This is the 2nd time recently I've watched this public perception shift seeing people say that a longtime loser, sudden winner's fanbase is the worst fans ever. First the Seahawk fans, now Royals fans. Haterism starts much sooner apparently.

Enjoy your Hater tots, and hateraid.
