Andy Reid made a huge bet by retaining Bob Sutton and jettisoning Marcus Peters. In my opinion, keeping Sutton is far more problematic than getting rid of Peters, but if you are keeping Sutton, Peters had to go.

Throw in the fact the Dorsey was essentially fired, and it certainly suggestive the Reid thinks there have been issues with talent on D.

I believe if things don't go right in the next 2-3 years, and Reid gets fired, that's going to be a defining move, just like keeping Juan Castillo a year too long in Philadelphia.

I totally agree. Heres one thing people have to consider... Peters was bitching about the scheme. Anyone think he was wrong? The coaches including Reid literally made almost zero adjustment while even Tony ****ing Romo said our scheme was so easy to dissect. You wonder about how players feel when they know their general is marching them into slaughter. How does the offense feel when they see we're repeating the same bad second half strategy in the playoffs. If Jeremiah trotter is any hint, some players recognize it but don't speak up about it.

That many chiefs seemed legitimately torn about Alex Smith vs mahomes also makes me question if our players are yes men. Don't rock the boat. Just follow orders. Even when the orders are stupid.

Well isn’t that just ****ing dandy. So explain to the class why winning organizations like the Patriots, Steelers, Ravens and Seahawks didn’t talk to us about getting an all-pro corner on a cheap contract for a discount?

“Winning organizations” with stability of handling these types of players weren’t interested.

Wrong dumbshit.

There could by any number of reasons for why the teams you listed were not interested in trading for Peters... compensation, future salary cap considerations, etc.

But it most likely was not because they were afraid of taking on a high maintenance player because all of the teams you listed have won Super Bowls with high maintenance players.

It’s been reported that the Chiefs aren’t getting a 1st rd pick and the Rams don’t have a 2nd rd pick.

So a 3rd rd pick is worrisome compensation now?

We don't even know what the trade comp is. And qbs will always demand more trade comp. Maybe we should wait for the trade comp to come out first. If the Rams offered solid trade comp, isn't it possible many teams took themselves out of the market? Of course his attitude blowups is going to hurt his stock. Welp indeed. Point still is, we don't know how many teams actually passed because of attitude. There are tons of good reasons why teams wouldn't trade. Maybe peters only wanted Cali. Maybe LA all but locked in a long term deal. Maybe some teams don't want corners or would rather keep the picks. Maybe some teams outright blackballed over the anthem issue.

I have no doubt the attitude issues hurt his draft stock. It's a ton of speculation to assume that almost every team flat out didn't think they could manage him.
