Wait.... is this right? This field has been THIS bad for an entire ****ing month, and the NFL didn't know until they saw the condition of the field on social media? Presumably advance US media trickling down to Mexico City saw it, went "holy shit", and reported it is how the NFL found out?

Well yeah, probably. There's nothing holding it down. When I had my yard done they told me to not go on it or mow it until the roots took hold enough so that I wouldn't be able to lift up the corner. That took a couple of weeks.
