Off Season Lets Talk Guns
Been a while since we had a guns n' ammo discussion.
Some of you are AR shooters Im sure. Im looking at a Colt 6920. Will be my first AR. Picked up a Glock this fall and really enjoy shooting it. Any feedback on that weapon? Anyone else been in a buy/sell/trade mood with hardware? Part 2: http://www.chiefsplanet.com/BB/showthread.php?t=293623 Last edited by Bearcat; 07-28-2015 at 06:06 PM.. |

So if any of you peeps out there are looking for a small gun safe to keep your small collection... look no further. I had to buy one because of our impending adoption (requirement to adopt apparently) so I did some shopping.
It arrived today and though the list states it can hold 4 rifles, it does not include any with pistol grips or any sort of optics. I had to rearrange and can safely hold 3 long guns + a sidearm w/no problem. The cool thing is that it opens with your fingerprint so no fumbling around looking for a key or punching in a code in the dark if something goes bump in the night. Put it together and got my fingerprints all put in and it works a treat. I've tried my finger at any number of angles and it reads it perfectly each and every time. Cannot beat it for the price. http://www.opticsplanet.net/barska-q...ifle-safe.html purple guns not included |

To add to mrcapones safe post, I picked up one of these at Orchelins a couple weeks ago:
Normally $500, but they ran a sale for 150 off so I got it for $350 plus tax: Century 14 Gun, 260 pound safe |

Ok... so I got it in the mail today and put it on. Downside... it makes the rifle not fit in the safe so I have to keep the other forward grip on but it isn't too big of a hassle to put in on when I am going to the range.
The legs are not steel but there are steel inserts inside the legs and the inner workings are steel as well. The bipod comes out with a push of the button and does so with quite some force. It feels good in the hand and very steady on the legs. All in all... VERY happy with the purchase. Pics.. |

Cute little fella...
Between 400-600 ft/lbs of force(depending on grain), coming out of a 12 oz. frame. That's crazy.. This the the DoubleTap .45-caliber pistol from Heizer Defense. It measures 5.5" long, 3.9" tall, and only weights 12-ounces. The gun comes in the aluminum 12-oz version ($500) and a 14-oz titanium one ($730) and holds two bullets in the piggyback barrels. It also holds an extra two in the handle.

I saw a really cool conversion kit for just a plain ol Ruger 10/22.
made by Achangel, I believe. I've really been eyeing a 22. shot my XD the other day, and picked up a box of 100 .22lr, and rented this little revolver....fun as crap to shoot. and cheap enough to shoot all day. I'd like to get a .22 rifle too for some fun plinking. |
