I'm not here to defend Alex or anything, but I'm thinking if Andy were certain Pat would have given us a better shot at winning, he'd have made the move.

It's just risky. A rookie QB with one start going up against a good Titans defense in a playoff atmosphere could have gotten ugly.

He's on a 1 year deal. Same as last year. And the year before that.

Based on this history, no, the Chiefs don't care about replacing him with a more useful player.

When they do decide enough is enough, they'll stop offering Sherman these 1-year deals.

Yep, it would have hurt Alex's trade value as well. We basically sacrificed a playoff win to dump him on the Skins.

I think we will see a much different Mahomes going into the Playoffs this year. Confident and Motivated.

I think he’ll be a do-it-all ST ace who will be used as depth. I wouldn’t be surprised to see him get some work as a FB for specialty plays.
