Off Season Lets Talk Guns
Been a while since we had a guns n' ammo discussion.
Some of you are AR shooters Im sure. Im looking at a Colt 6920. Will be my first AR. Picked up a Glock this fall and really enjoy shooting it. Any feedback on that weapon? Anyone else been in a buy/sell/trade mood with hardware? Part 2: http://www.chiefsplanet.com/BB/showthread.php?t=293623 Last edited by Bearcat; 07-28-2015 at 06:06 PM.. |

Thinkin about updating my DPMS AR. Is a magpul stock worth it? I'm goin with a polymer magpul handguard, rail cover for possibly adding an angled magpul foregrip.
My current set up with an aluminum quad rail seems too heavy and the factory stock wobbles. |

I am about to order a M &A bull barrel AR kit, and I am interested in a Magpul PRS stock. The reviews are fantastic. I just ordered a Mako adjustable stock for my 16". It's the same stock the the Israel armed forces use, so it should be cool. |

Speaking for the P89 though, it is a great gun. It was my first (and only so far) handgun that I got myself for graduation. Extremely reliable. I've never had any kind of problem using wally world WWB and Federal ammo. The only thing I don't like about it is it's a little big for regular concealed carry, so I've only used it as a range gun and I haven't been a regular range goer for a few years now. Sometime this summer I'll get a Ruger SR22 for a cheap range gun/plinker and just pay the $5 to rent if I want to shoot something bigger than a .22. Then in the next year or so I'll get something smaller than the P89 for a carry gun. |

If you get one, I recommend getting a Hogue slip on grip for it, because the grip sucks. |

It's for my wife, so a nice grip is a must.

This is mine with the added grip (the Viridian laser got moved to a better pistol).
Might be a bit bulky for the wife. |

Yeah I'm still not 100% sure I want to sell my 89, but if I keep it and start shooting it more a Hogue grip has been on my Amazon wish list for a couple years now. I've heard it makes a huge difference.

I am looking at buying a Ruger 10/22 with a Ramline folding stock and scope for $200. Ultimate zombie gun. |
